The views, especially from the conservatory were fantastic and the kitchen was well equipped and laid out. Such a remote, cozy cottage in an ideal location to explore nearby beaches and lochans as well as further afield! It was exactly what we were looking for. The cottage was clean and well appointed, and Tracy and Steve were most helpful, and right down the lane. If you’re wanting an extended stay, it’s just right. Make sure you stock on provisions at Tesco beforehand, there are shops between Stornoway and Calbost, but nothing within a 20 minute drive. It’s well worth it though—the history of the cottage is well documented, and the area itself is like a microcosm of the Island. Simply sublime.
