Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
The freshly cooked breakfast was amazing from Sally. The room very clean and the bed very comfortable. Nice views across the countryside, evening meal lovely and good value. Will come back when next in the area.
Stayed in Room 3 for 2 nights to celebrate a birthday. Lovely friendly, helpful owners and staff. The room was extremely comfortable with a large room and large bathroom, soft bedding, fluffy white towels and peaceful countryside views. Great breakfast cooked by the owner Paul at a time of our choice. Very close to Bath and Wells for Christmas shopping and would definitely recommend Wells, which is a beautiful city with independent shops, a market and of course, the fabulous cathedral.
Warm, cosy and simple accommodation. Stayed in a room with a four poster bed, plenty of space, large bathroom. Warm and comfortable nights sleep. Breakfast was excellent.
Lovely country pub with cosy, comfy and clean rooms. Unfortunately had to attend a wedding locally, and would have much rather spent a quiet afternoon in this pub enjoying a beer and some of their food - which looked and smelt excellent as I walked through the bar area. Breakfast was lovely, the "full Somerset" included some high quality meats!
We booked the hotel for a visit to nearby Bath, as we couldn't get anything in town with guaranteed parking facilities.
Overall it was a pleasant stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and they went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The breakfast was excellent - much better even than in some more expensive places. And the cosy, pub-like hotel restaurant offered good food.
The staff were all very welcoming, much appreciated after a long journey! The place itself is warm, cosy and in an idyllic setting. Breakfast was also lovely. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again if in this area
