    very clean, welcoming and warm. essentials left for us which was lovely. bathroom and bedroom was lovely.

    The cottage was very nice, good layout, furnished very tastefully and so comfortable with everything you could want. The local pub served loverly home cooked food but do book it’s very popular. The location is great for walks and cycle rides right from doorstep. Cannot recommend this cottage more

    Comfy and cosy. Lovely decor, Gill and Graham made us feel welcome and were very friendly. Swallow barn had everything we needed and more and was a great base for a weekend of good walks.

    The cottage met our expectations, it's located centrally in peak District, nestled in a beautiful village. The location is convenient for traveling to various other places of interest in Peak District. The main bathroom has a jet bath (jacuzzi) which was the centre of attraction for our 3 and a half year old.

    The cottage was absolutely lovely. Fabulous 2 night stay. There is everything you need for a short break. All kitchen equipment was in excellent condition and good quality set of knives. I often find old blunt knives when we go away. The host Gill & David take pride both inside & outside of Swallow Barn. Perfect place to Stay in a small village with excellent pub& friendly locals. 👌

    Well-equipped, cosy cottage located in lovely village with countryside walks around. Well placed for excursions to nearby market towns Buxton, Ashbourne and Bakewell and to visit places of historical interest such as Chatsworth or Haddon Hall.. Owner Tracey a fount of recommendations about trails and tourist sites and local historical knowledge.
