Beautiful location, simple to find. Appliances easy to use. No stress whatsoever. Anyone who says it is not that private is off there head. Its in a garden, why moan it's not private when it's almost 100 metres from the house. Never got to meet the owners. I must say they have done a superb job of renovating this old outbuilding. You will get dead beasties and live ones. Your in the country what do you expect

Parking was free at pub car park across the quiet road from the pub and could see the car from the lodge window. Room was warm enough for early October, heating didn’t come on. Free tea/coffee facility in lodge. Breakfast included cooked warm food which could be changed at request and wasn’t too greasy. Unlimited breakfast drinks and cereal. Friendly staff.

Breakfast was brilliant, a full English cooked one. The surrounds were rural and I loved the wild poppies. The pub is famous for its live music and so visitors might have enjoyed that. The Cabin type room where we stayed was far enough away not to be disturbed and the bird song early was lovely.

A good cooked English breakfast, though the addition of some fruit would be appreciated. Rooms in cabins away from the pub ensured a good night's sleep.
