A spacious and peaceful setting, fully equipped with everything we needed. The food and drink essentials was a nice touch. A great spot within the camp itself and not too far from facilities. Small charming quiet manor hotel with good two variety of dining options, dog friendly with lovely gardens around lakes and through forest and fields. Walkable to the cute village of Battle and the English Heritage site where King Harold fell at the point of an arrow by Norman William The Conqueror. Not grand but cosy. Loved the wood fireplace.
The location was perfect for what we wanted; secluded and quiet.
Carly was more than happy to guide us to the cabin when we arrived.
The cabin itself was the perfect location for a short getaway in the countryside and the bed was incredibly comfortable!
We loved meeting Rosie the pig and listening to Chalky the donkey chattering away.
We would recommend this location to anyone and would love to stay here again in the future
Charming historical country house. Great base to explore the area. Great walks from hotel including around the beautiful grounds. Very comfortable rooms and bed. Helpful friendly staff. Great food at reasonable cost. Very accommodating for dogs.
Lovely quiet lodge in easy driving distance of lots of English Heritage places we wanted to see. Master bedroom large and all beds very comfortable. Well laid out open plan living area. Really friendly host who kept in touch through out our stay.
A beautiful rustic farmhouse cabin that comes equipped with a log-burning stove and kitchen.
A comfortable and charming place in a secluded hideaway far from any noise or cars.
Everything lived up to the reviews I'd read. The host was/is extremely helpful and friendly and the accommodation is unique, comfortable and offers a fantastic stay. The shower was better than every other static caravan I've stayed in!!!
Firepit was brilliant too for a long(er) summer evening.
Great for a cosy romantic weekend away.
Debby is a great host. The cottage is very spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. Everything is super clean and it has a great location in the countryside. Hastings, Battle and Eastbourne are close and easy to reach by car.
Homely authentic cottage located in a quiet tucked away haven, yet only15 minutes public footpath through gorgeous countryside to Battle high street. The beds are superbly comfortable; We slept in the front bedroom and were awake to the sunshine. Very well equipped in its minimalistic approach. I would highly recommend this holiday cottage.
Initially anticipated by my husband as "a shed", even he was super impressed by the quirkiness and quality of the accommodation. Carly was on hand if required but in no way obtrusive, and the outlook from the veranda of the cabin was fabulous. It was obvious that a lot of trouble had been taken to make the cabin feel homely and cosy, combined with all of the practical resources to allow real self catering.
