An ideal location in the centre of Long Melford, down a short private track to the off-road, allocated, safe, private parking. Very quiet and peaceful despite being so close to the town. Accommodation was much more spacious than expected with good quality furnishings, fixtures and fittings. Wonderful underfloor heating system. Superb power shower. Comfortable outdoor furniture. Lovely little garden to enjoy the late-summer sunshine. 5 mins walk to the local butcher, baker and Co-op. Lots of tea-rooms and pubs/restaurants nearby, also an excellent "chippy" at the end of the lane. Highly recommended.

Rachel was warm and welcoming and made us feel very much at home. The room was light and inviting with a lovely comfy bed, fridge, tv, kettle and lots of extras - mini toothbrushes and toothpaste, face mask, eye masks etc.
The bathroom had a spacious and powerful shower and bathrobes and slippers were provided.
The breakfast room was bright and clean with a good view of the large and well established garden. There was a good selection of cereals, fruit and yogurt, juice, pastries, fresh bread, eggs, tea and coffee. The range of preserves was amazing and we enjoyed different ones each day.
This was a lovely, clean and homely property and we will definitely see if there is a room available when we are in the area again. Lovely hosts and Ragnar the dog is adorable.

The house was perfect. Beautifully styled and absolutely spotless. I stayed for 2 nights initially because I couldn’t find a suitable hotel and I’m very glad I didn’t in the end as the house was brilliant. It was perfect location for a wider business meeting we were attending in Mallingtree

A very quaint property set in a peaceful and beautiful location, a real hidden gem. Wonderfully clean and comfortable with everything you would need for a relaxing stay. The bathroom door was a particular surprise. Simply fabulous and will visit again.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
We stayed in the beautiful deluxe apartment, the welcome was friendly and warm. We had everything we needed in the apartment. The hot tub was amazing and it was so peaceful and relaxing. The accommodation was clean and tidy, in the morning our breakfast was a traditional cooked breakfast which was cooked and presented perfectly and brought to our accommodation at our desired time.
This was a perfect get away and just what we needed. I would recommend the fox's den to anyone who wants a relaxing romantic break away.
Such a cosy little hideaway with my wife this was the evening of our wedding after the party we came to the foxes den the hot tub was clean and the property was amazing really spacious and clean the bathroom was excellent and the kitchen was great too. Couldn't really fault it. Gutted about having to leave early due to a home matter because apparently the breakfast is the best.
It was spacious with lovely decor and very luxurious soft furnishings. It had a jacuzzi bath and hot tub. We stayed in the ‘Den’ and it had a huge private garden. Very modern. The breakfast was brought to our apartment, and was beautifully cooked and was excellent quality. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. It was peacefully quiet. It was exceptionally clean. It is in the countryside, so a car would be required to get to the town centre etc.
This is a beautiful place to stay. warm and cosy. Lovely rural setting. Close to gorgeous little villages. Historic Lavenham is a favourite. The owners were so lovely and helpful. We had a beautiful walk through the countryside. Wonderful breakfast. We will be back.
The Den was exceptional, absolutely spotless, the bed was so comfortable and the hot tub was great. The host, Vanessa could not have been more helpful, she was so lovely and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was out of this world. I could not recommend this enough. A wonderful place to stay and would definitely go back. Ideal romantic getaway.
The Thatched Cottage is a very characterful cottage. Quirky layout with staircases each side and adjoining top rooms. It has lots of bookshelves of books and DVD's. It has a lovely big garden area.
