The accommodation was light, fairly spacious, good internet. The kitchen and bathroom were clean. Despite it being hot outside, with the shade awning and shutters it remained cool inside. We cooked both nights and it had sufficient equipment. The two beds together were comfortable. The washing machine, ironing board and iron were good. It was nice to have some outside space. It’s a ten minute walk up to the chateau and town.

The accommodation was exceptional; it was clean, modern and well equipped. The owner was very helpful and even insisted we did not need to clean when we departed. There is air conditioning in both rooms, the kitchen looks new and the bathroom well decorated. There is a swimming pool but due to the weather we opted not to use it.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
Perfect location, for the SOE 80 th memorial at Valencay, charming and very helpful hosts, the cottage is beautifully appointed with everything that you need, very comfortable beds, impeccably clean.
Charming hostess who served a fabulous breakfast with lovely home made jams etc. Parking excellent. Good location. The two bedrooms sleeping 4 are a very good size and there is a little sitting area on the landing with 2 small arm chairs.
As food may not be consumed in rooms, the hostess provides a very well appointed garden summer house with fridge microwave kettle and crockery etc to eat in.
The night sky is amazing.
The hostess is very covid conscious so very good for a vulnerable person to stay.
Breakfast was excellent. Fresh bread and croissant. Amazing choice of home made jams. Great coffee. Attention to detail and charming presentation. Lovely setting. Wonderful host.
Accommodation comprised a large bedroom as well as a sitting area and TV. Cosy decor, very homely.
