Marianne Cottage Chambre d'Hotes, hotel in Saint Lo

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Marianne Cottage Chambre d'Hotes features accommodation with a garden and free WiFi.

We were very enthusiastic and warmly received by Mark & Kim. We lacked nothing for 5 days. The rooms were neat and super clean (not even a speck of dust under the bed!), with good mattresses. Clean and spacious bathroom. The breakfast was extensive and freshly prepared. Did you have a personal wish, for example eggs for breakfast? No problem, it was simply arranged. In the evening there was the option to join us for dinner for €15.00 p.p. In the morning Mark indicated what he would cook that evening. And it must be said: the meals were simple but delicious! Location of the chambre d'hôte is very quiet in a rural area. Exactly what we were looking for. All you hear are the cows. It is a perfect base for visits to the D-day beaches and, for example, Le Mont Saint-Michel.

Domaine de la Palombe, hotel in Saint Lo

Domaine de la Palombe is located in Villiers-Fossard, 6.6 km from Haras of Saint-Lô, 25 km from German War Cimetery, and 34 km from Baron Gerard Museum.

Domaine de la Palombe is set just in beautifully maintained grounds just off the D6, north of St.Lô We stayed in a rustic and comfortable family room with 3 beds on the ground floor, with separate door to the rear grounds. A fantastic place to unwind and let the kids run loose (between goats, ducks, swans, pony and donkey!) A great stop for our last hop up to the ferry and good value - thanks again Charlotte for your warm welcome, breakfast and hospitality! And I hope the goats enjoyed the peaches! Merci Xx

Cozy place with an engaged and attentive host. Good location with only a short walk into the central city. The room and bathroom was clean and had everything needed. Alexander was very nice and keen to make sure everything was well.

The location was actually good. It was in the peace of the country but close enough to the town. Both our host and hostess were kind and pleasant people. The building dates back to the 12th century and has been sympathetically restored. Apparently the chapel is the oldest in Normandy. We met 4 of the 5 little dogs and 2 horses.

Phillipe and Simone are a lovely friendly couple. They have restored this lovely old building which includes a chapel from around the 12th century. Thus was the only part of the building not to be destroyed in the bombing of WW2. They also keep horses and chickens.

The bathroom didn’t seem to have been cleaned. There were clean towels but the tub was with hair (shaving) and we didn’t have soap, shower gel and toilet paper. Shower cabinet wasn’t clean either.
