Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
Totally charming, comfortable, voluminous, high ceilings, big rooms with a welcoming and friendly owner. Old school and all the better for it! A great stopping off point.
Le Petit Chaton was very comfortable. Mme and M Pave were charming and made our stay very good. The bed was comfortable and the frig chorus didn't disturb us at all. Breakfast was excellent value and the jams cheese and yogurts were made in their families farm. Found Le Tarverne for supper also good value.
In the middle of the countryside but not far from the motorway, we heard the cuckoo in the woods and the frogs in the pond. The room is spacious and comfortable. The covered pool was a bonus and welcome after a long drive. The hosts were very friendly and we were shown the prize-winning restored cars too. Breakfast was good with homemade courgette and tomato jams and honey from the farm.
