We had a wonderous and magical stay at Shannaghs Sweet escape, such a beautiful location in a cosy wooden cabin that suited the 4 of us and we were so well looked after by our hosts Scott and Shannagh who really made us feel really welcome 🙏.
The cabin is next to the Laughing oyster restaurant run by Scott and Shannagh which was an extra surprise to have a fantastic place to eat on site as well.
The views were beautiful surrounded by mountains down to okenover harbour and plenty of opportunities for hiking and canoeing in the area. It is a truly hidden gem! Thank you so much to our fabulous hosts.🫠if you are looking for a peaceful beautiful getaway this is for you.

This bnb was just lovely. Amazing location and the cabin! So cute with comfy beds - the kids LOVED the loft and the added touch of the hosts art on the walls - this place is very special. The kids also loved the bunnies and the ducks.

I can’t say what this cabin was like as it is not ready to be stayed in yet. Even though we booked it on Booking.com, when we arrived they told us they weren’t finished building it. The cabin we stayed in, a small A frame was decorated very nicely. Had a king size bed and a TV. The cabin was very clean.
The lodge is undergoing renovation, so if you get a good room it is really nice. The decor is good in the bathroom and floor is nice. Staff are helpful. It is easy to book online or by phone. My single room had a new microwave and the fridge is okay. WIFI works well. The beds are comfy.
The heritage hotel had antiques all over the lobby. It was a unique experience. The room, bathroom and bedding were clean. Check in was easy, ample parking.
We really enjoyed the location and the cabin that we got. The view is gorgeous and you get everything you'd need at the cabin. The host told us that he is planning the developments and we are definitely coming back!
The quietness overall, but also the sound of the ocean; the cosy room and the little things / decoration. And of course the hosts with their warm welcome.
We stayed in a room on the second floor, and, alhough aware of no elevator, I wish we had travelled "lighter". Next visit we will try to book the heritage room on the first floor, not only more convient but also the room is REALLY special with the furnishings.
A beautiful and cozy place, close to Powell River Historic Townsite and second beach.
Everything was very clean and new. There are so many creative and lovely details. Loved it!
