The owner, Luara was an amazing host. She was really welcoming and she showed the great hospitality by providing many information as a local. Our flight time was 10pm and she offered the late check-out without any extra charge (the reason why it was possible was because there wasn't any new customer for that night.) Highly recommended!

The house is authentic; it looks great from the first glance. We could use the kitchen and the living room, there’s a pool. Very charming vibe. Also, the host who met us was friendly and very welcoming.
The location is good - very central in the historic center of Sao Luis, which was convenient.
Great location - not far from the old town. Owner is lovely and helpful, really gets to know the guests. The common areas are small but cozy, with hammocks etc. The price is really affordable. Free breakfast in the morning. There’s a communal kitchen.

A cozy hostel in the north-east part of the historic centre. The staff is cordial and very helpful, and the atmosphere was excellent to get to know other travellers. I'm really glad I spent my time here.

Location is excellent, in the heart of Centro Historico. The building itself is old but very charming, so expect doors and stairs etc to not be of modern standard.
My partner and I adored the French / Portuguese architecture of São Luis, with the decaying buildings adding to the character of the city. Casa Frankie is a beautifully restored building that is charming and comfortable for it's guests to stay. Staff member Gerinho (excuse the spelling!) and owner Frank were both very helpful and provided us with exemplary hospitality. The swimming pool and the amazing coffee were a real treat for a couple of long term travellers!
