I recently had the pleasure of staying at Vila PERIKA near Borino, Bulgaria, and it was an absolutely excellent experience. From the moment we arrived, I felt warmly welcomed and at ease.
It is important to emphasize that the villa is located in the woods, about a 10-minute drive from Borino. The road can be muddy with bumps if it rains, so it's something to be mindful of.
The accommodation itself was amazing. It is a two-story old villa with two dining/staying areas outside. The kitchen is highly equipped, and there are two BBQ areas outside near a large lawn and a small flowing river stream next to the house. Every detail seemed thoughtfully curated to ensure guests had a pleasant stay. There are two bedrooms on the second floor, each with three single beds. The stairs to the upper floor are spiral so careful. There is one toilet and one shower with hot water always available. Additionally, there is WiFi in the villa. The beds were okay, ensuring a restful night's sleep.
Bilgin, the host, met us in front of the villa and can meet you in Borino if needed. We communicated via WhatsApp, and he left us with the keys after a short tour.
Overall, our two-night stay at this villa was fantastic. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique stay in the woods with a highly equipped villa and a great garden and lawn for your family to enjoy.

Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
Very charming place. Clean and comfortable. Great place if you are with children. The food in the restaurant is incredible and the lemonade (all three varieties) is amazing.
We used their services to go to the Eagle eye and the driver was really careful as we were with two small kids (2 and 4 years old). He even stopped for wild strawberry picking.
Superb location that is probably the best in this area. This is the closest place to start off the 1 hour hike to the spot with amazing view of the surroundings - "Orlovo Oko". The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The food is delicious and they serve wonderfull breakfast with natual homemade juices with it. The hot tub and SPA facilities are great too. Spacious, comfortable and clean rooms with great view.

From the hotel, you can walk/climb to the Eagle's Eye in 2+ hours (with reasonable fitness).
Or there are jeep-taxis available (80 lev).

The room had breathtaking views and the staff were friendly. The hot tub and the spa facilities were great to relax. The staff did their best to cater for our needs.
