Our hosts, Lythia and Phil, absolutely outstanding and very hospitable. Terrific facilities and everything you could hope for. Not disappointed. Sleepy little town. Very beautiful nestled between mountains and the ocean. Lots of restaurants, stores and wine farms conveniently located. Absolutely able to walk around, but good Über coverage as well. The Main Road is the spine of the town, and is dotted with artisenal burger restaurants, Sushi and more local fare.

It is located near Stellenbosch and a reasonable drive from Cape Town. All the amenities you need including shopping, cinema, restaurants etc. Depending on the time of year the weather (it was cold when we visited this year)it is an ideally situated location.

Hands down the best kept place I have every stayed at and I travel extensively for work. Incredible value for money. Will be back for sure. Somerset West is actually more enchanting than I anticipated. Plenty restaurants.

There are so many wonderful places to visit and so many restaurants to enjoy. We have Strand beach nearby and also mountain hikes plus some of the country's finest wine estates. It's a bit like dying and going to heaven....

Very pretty hotel. Really delightful outside eating area. It’s in a very nice residential area (a drive from the coast) and it’s much cheaper than the high end hotels in Cape Town that’s a 40 minute drive away. It’s ideally placed for the airport which is just about 30 mins away. Very tastefully decorated and the gardens within the complex are really lovely.
Renier (the host), his family and his dogs made our stay exceptionally good. We had one of the cottages where literally everything was clean and fully equipped. Renier is always nice and responsive. We will definitely come back when we are in Stellenbosch/Somerset West area. Thank you :)
