Beautiful house with all the amenities one might need (air fryer included). The area is vast and the views stunning. So much space to explore and enjoy, by foot, bicycle or 4x4. The river with canoes is wonderful. The farm dogs are too sweet and well-behaved. So much to love! Will be back.

Love the location of De Hoop have stayed there many times. It is very relaxing in a beautiful environment with roaming buck and ostriches. The scenery is stunning.
It's an absolute beaut to stay on the River.
Indoor braai and the walks down to the riverside was awesome.
Ample space.
The Double Bunks make up for more space for more people which is great.
The cupboards was dirty
And the fridge had a smell
All in all very nice stay.
The Bees came out the Sunday but scary though just glad it was after we had a blast there.

Great place to chill,friendly staff and management.Up grade of the place is very well done.Clean neat and comfortable.Took a fun boat trip up the Breede river.Dinner bed and breakfast could not be faltered.Short trip to De Hoop nature reserve for the day as well as visit to Witsand make it a good base for a visit of the area.
A great rustic lodge experience with outdoor fire-heated hot tub by the river, very close (about 30 mins drive) to De Hoop national park. The location itself is about 10 mins from the trading post that has all the basics, and about 10 mins from the local town with a petrol station. Access by car is a must. Excellent for families or groups of friends. Kayaks are available to use free of charge and the place is full of wildlife. A quieter and more secluded alternative to the De Hoop collection or main hotel in Malgas.
Imagine having a river view, delectable meals and wonderfully pleasant staff. This is Malgas Hotel. Riverboats, peace and quiet surrounded by nature, and staff to meet your every need. A night cap next to a warm cracking fire is just what you need to end off a wonderful day before tucking in to your warm bed for a night of rest for your body and soul.
We left to early for Breakfast, Dinner was included in the price.. Food in general was good. I just think the hotel would be more attractive and profitable if they remove the included dinner and offer a limited menu for dinner. If you book accommodation you don't book dinner, this should be separated.
Malagas Hotel is close to De Hoop Nature Reserve, a very beautiful area. The garden is very nice and so is the balcony. The staff is super friendly and pollite. Also the room was clean and comfortable. The best thing, however, was the dinner. Super delicious!
Very friendly staff, huge 5-course meal included in the room rate. Exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended for a stopover, not a hotel I would stay in for a couple of nights. The rooms are small and basic, but very clean.
We were in desperate need of some peace and quiet and we found that at Malaga’s hotel! All the staff were so friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and will definitely be going back
