Old Potters Inn, hotel in Greyton

Set in an 1830s farm house, Old Potter’s Inn is centrally located along Greyton’s Main Road, near a variety of restaurants, galleries and shops.

Self-catering was a welcomed surprise. Large shower with a bath was good. Basin with counter space was handy. Owners were very welcoming and gifted us with a small gift for our anniversary which showed their rye for detail and hospitality.

A picturesque town with many interesting nooks and crannies to explore. Good choice of restaurants, interesting art, mostly within easy walking distance. Restaurants and shops closing early during the ArtWalk weekend was a disappointment. It seems pointless to offer activities that draw visitors, but then not offer them what they came for.

This quaint town is a treasure trove of antiques, books, friendly locals, and the slow-paced traveler. Horses in the backyards, coffee with delicious baked goods around every corner, and local art and artisan chocolates to keep you wanting to stay even longer.!

Greyton is a very pretty village.

Greyton is a very pretty village. A lot of good accommodation available. Quite a lot of restaurants, cafes / coffee shops. A supermarket, petrol station by and a pharmacy, so more than adequate from C a shopping aspect. We were there for the annual classical music festival, not the first one we have attended in Greyton, and it was most enjoyable. Great destination for walks / hikes, mountain biking etc. Generally a great place to visit !!

Greyton has so much to offer.

Greyton has so much to offer. This time we chose a quiet and peaceful stay, popping into the various little shops and restaurants and 2 leisurely walks around the town were sufficient. I have done the Greyton/ McGregor hike a couple of times in the past which is not easy. AbbeyRose offers great meals and The Post House coffee shop super cappuchino. I can highly recommend Carla for a massage!

Central location in Greyton, walking distance form most restaurants and shops. Small little cottage next to main house, with one bedroom and en suite bathroom with shower. Perfect stay for weekend for 1-2 people, to use as base to explore from. Large garden for guests to use and parking on site. Good quality king size bed, big cupboard for clothing and heaters or fan provided. Small nook in bedroom to make tea/coffee, with fridge and microwave provided. Hosts very friendly and available if needed.

The property was, as quite normal for Greyton, next to a gravel road which could become a bit noisy at night but it was in easy walking distance to the hub of Greyton (a few mins walk) it was a cute very clean cottage. although long periods of load shedding that is currently a huge problem for all areas, the cottage was well equipped with a gas hob and plenty of LED lights so wasn't really effected

Staying in the oldest building in Greyton is special on its own, the friendly staff and comfortable room was the cherry on top, making everything just perfect for our 1 night stay. Room was neat, with a big window overlooking Main road, which was lovely. Ceiling fan was a nice addition considering the heat in Greyton mid December. Swimming towels were provided for using the pool in the courtyard.

Via's Guesthouse is very well located on the main road, but in the back of the little restaurant so it is very quiet. The rooms are big and comfortable. We arrived late and Matthew was waiting for us to show us around. We stayed 2 nights and truly enjoyed out stay in Greyton... it was very relaxing and peaceful. We forgot our jackets and Matthew helpt us to get them back to Cape Town.
