Ballito is our city of choice to stay on the north coast...
Ballito is our city of choice to stay on the north coast because it’s close to Durban but not TOO close. They have a really fabulous array of quality restaurants, coffee shops (and shops in general). Very nice vibe & decor at Ballito Lifestyle Centre. Ballito beaches get very busy in Summer (there’s some fantastic tidal pools to swim in). During weekends and especially during summer and anywhere near November/ December/ January… it gets way too noisy & crowded for OUR liking. But for extroverted, party-loving types - it may suit them perfectly. We appreciate the effort Ballito council goes to TRYING to keep beaches & boardwalks clean… but with that many summer visitors, there’s (sadly) always litter. From an aesthetic perspective: Ballito is ruined by way too much ugly signage (estate agencies & security companies being the worst culprits!). This is true of most little towns which COULD be beautiful were it not for all the ugly signage & advertising plastered everywhere. Lots of things to see, do (and eat) in Ballito. Definitely worth a visit if exploring the KZN North Coast.

Ballito is a perfect holiday destination.
Ballito is a perfect holiday destination. The town is easy to navigate, with shops conveniently located nearby. I loved taking walks amidst the beautiful scenery, with stunning palms and trees enhancing the natural beauty of the town. The presence of nature everywhere is truly delightful.
There are plenty of delicious takeaway outlets, making it easy to enjoy your holiday even more. The restaurants are very good, but be cautious when ordering drinks—you might end up paying more for the ice than the drink itself.
Overall, Ballito offers a wonderful holiday experience with its blend of convenience, natural beauty, and great dining options.

Ballito is awesome, because there is still a lot to do, even if the weather does not play along. The mall is great, there are great restaurants in the area - we love Nikos and there are some great other options in the area.

We love Zimbali and the suite was well located with access to the main hotel facilities and a daily shuttle to the Valley of Pools. The entire unit is airconditioned which is great for the North Coast heat and humidity. The suites have a generator so loadshedding didn't bother us much. The unit is serviced daily.
If you need a quick in and out of Ballito and dont want to spend all you money on accommodation then this is the hotel for you. It is very close to Ballito Lifestyle Center. Also they have a generator because Ballito is badly hit with loadshedding
THE VIEW WAS SPECTACULAR, ACCESS TO THE BEACH VERY NICE, THE BEACH AND PATH ON THE BEACHFRONT VERY NEAT AND CLEAN. WE FELT SO SAFE GOING FOR STROLLS. THE HOTEL SURPRIZES US WITH A PIECE OF CAKE IN OUR ROOM TO CELEBRATE OUR ANNIVERSARY
The hotel is very well located within the ballito area the views from the hotel are next level and you spend much time just gazing into the sea. Rooms are spacious and comfortable
Staff, Room and Breakfast was excellent. I would recommend going through and enjoying the experience at Zimbali Lodge at Dream Hotels in the North from Durban.
