Stunning location high in the mountains on edge of rice paddies.... Lapatan Paradise is beautifully constructed with great attention to detail...designed by Nam our host. Nam and his wife Giang welcomed us warmly, picking us up by bike for the short ride to the homestay. Giang made delicious local food, and Nam guided us on foot and by scooter in the surrounding countryside. Our bungalow was charming, immaculately clean and very comfortable. We slept so well! 'Hidden gem' is such a cliche but Lapantan Paradise truly is one. We plan to return next year!

Incredible stay off the beaten path away from the tourists. The family is lovely and makes you feel at home. You can join them on all sorts of crazy adventures. We went and harvested a bee hive and went to a remote waterfall where we ate our lunch. Wonderful breakfast is made for you every morning and you join them for family dinners. Our favourite place we stayed!

The owners are lovely :-) The food was very tasty. The view is exceptional. They are a small family, making an effort to provide a great space to relax, it's hard amongst all the bigger companies who attract the tourists. I was very happy to stay here. If you don't mind a basic room and prefer to support small families making their way into the tourist scene then definitely stay here. If you're looking for luxury then perhaps it's not your cuppa tea. Personally I was happy ;-)
