Ok for the money. The bathroom was clean. Shower was hot. Little balcony you could sit on just about with two people if you put a plastic bag over the drain to stop the smell. Great location over loooking the road and watching life go by.

Small town. No Grab service in Chau Doc. went to Tra Su cajuput forest by Taxi, in a remote area and hard to get transportation to the forest, taxi driver waited ( I didn't ask him to wait) he wanted to make more money with the return to town trip. Basically it does not have the necessary public infrastructure to support tourists.

Chau Doc is visited mainly by tourists crossing the border between Vietnam and Cambodia. Other than a few hotel, there's not a lot to see. Although it's a nice little town with nice street food.

There is so many things to see in An Giang around Chau Doc: Sam mountain, Cam mountain, Tapa fields, lake at Tri Ton, temples and pagodas, Bung Binh Tien but my favorite was Tra Su Melaleuca forest. And of course the city of Chau Doc including some beautiful Muslim temples and a small floating market as well.

Central downtown Chau Doc is really hard to get around if you enjoy walking. Can Tho had good walking promenades and the town was OK for an avid pedestrian. Not so for Chau Doc which is overrun by motorbikes with limited walking areas, aside from the area near the river. Smelt more polluted than other places I've visited too as the streets in the downtown area are quite narrow and there's so many bikers. We stayed two nights. I'd recommend staying for one and heading straight out to the bird sanctuary and Sam Mountains which were really lovely and interesting - but lower your expectations of the town itself.

Located on the outside of Chau Doc, its ca. 20 min walk/8min taci from the river. During our stay, it was almost completely, however, we enjoyed the clean rooms and restaurant balcony servicing. The staff is kind and helpful but cannot speak good english so do not expect too much help planning tours to the Tra Sa Forest or Sam mountain. Motorbikes are rented at a fairly expensive 180k/day. Also not very social for international guests.
The property is in a perfect location in Chau Doc and is one of the cleanest places we’ve stayed in. We loved the whole stay, it is so welcoming and full of personal touches. Our two children were very sad to leave and Vi and her mum were so kind to them teaching them games and giving them treats. Vi gave us spot on recommendations for food which meant we got to try some wonderful new dishes before we left Vietnam.
It is a beautiful and recent hotel and everything was clean. The girl at the reception was lovely, she gave great advice for a restaurant and even booked a taxi to take me there. She was very helpful and did very well to overcome the language barrier.
the view is stunning
and value for money considering that
I had a small motorcycle accident and the hotel manager called in the hotel nurse immediately to clean up my wounds - he was kind and generous and welcoming - I was very grateful
