Wilmington is a great location, just a few miles away from Mount Snow. The town is lovely with many souvenir shops, convenience stores, restaurants and bars. There is surprsingly a lot to do given its small size.

Beautiful little town - just the right, manageable size!

Beautiful little town - just the right, manageable size! On a Tuesday and Wednesday late September some shops closed - a bit disappointing. But the shops that were open are great! A variety of lovely Inns from which to choose. Some restaurants only open 4 days a week or so. Great stop on the way to Maine.

Wilmington was the ideal little Vermont town for an early October trip. The sights were amazing. The food in and around town was excellent. There was so much to do in the area, we couldn't fit everything into just a weekend trip. We at at the Alpenglow on a Friday night (get reservations!), and it was fantastic. For Saturday we ate at Jezebel's Eatery and again had a great meal (again get reservations, dinner fills up in town). The days were spent at the Hogback Mountain overlook, wandering the Brattleboro Flea Market and meandering through the shops in town. Just a fantastic area for an Autumn trip.

Such a cute town! Everything was within walking distance.

Such a cute town! Everything was within walking distance. There are many local shops and delicious places to eat. We enjoyed a hike nearby. We were there during the off season so not everything was open. A very nice place to recharge. I wouldn’t necessarily stay longer than a day or two.

    Quaint town.

Quaint town. It is very small and a lot of places close at 4. I'd make a stop there, but probably stay overnight in a larger town if you're just visiting the area. If you're skiing, the town might may be a little more affordable than some of the resorts.

The property/grounds are very nice and renovations/repairs to landscape are in progress. Common areas are lovely, tastefully decorated, and pleasant. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. Continental breakfast included. We opted for brunch on Sunday and it was tasty. An easy 15 minute walk or 5 minute drive to downtown Wilmington. Wahoo's near the foot of the property serves Gifford's ice cream which is very rich, creamy and delicious.

Great location on east-west route through Wilmington, easy to find. I liked the staff I met, the ease & pleasantness of checking in & out, the comfort of my bed, the bathroom facilities, the bar fridge (& microwave) & the functioning coffee-maker. WiFi was OK, too! With a disabled leg, I was also glad to be on the ground floor.

Our room was large and comfortable and had a gas fireplace that we used one cool evening. The breakfast choices were unusually good and I particularly enjoyed French toast one morning and avocado toast another morning. Our hostess Shelley was extremely helpful and informative about the local area.

Wonderful period building with original features, staff were lovely and very welcoming, room was clean and tidy with a great bathroom. A 20 minute walk into Wilmington with its great bars and restaurants but as the road is unlit I wouldn't recommend walking at night.
