We arrived around 6:30pm to be told that we'd missed our complimentary flight of wines: ended at 5pm. Also, the pool wasn't open for another two weeks. The spa had to be pre-booked so, as we were only there for one night, we missed that too. There may have been a bar: if there was it was closed. There was a restaurant but it wasn't open as it only provided lunch. The room was nice......

Every aspect of the Inn, setting, decor, amenities, service, and food, was first rate, befitting the property's history and reputation. We felt very welcome and cared for. The Williamsburg Inn is much better in every respect than it used to be despite the loss of the Regency Dining room as a daily venue for meals. Times change and the Inn has with them but the core values of elegance, comfort, and service remain.

Dined at various restaurants where the establishments were very clean and the food was good. Driving around Williamsburg is very easy. We also took a drive down to the ferry to Surry Seafood restaurant. This is a great little restaurant right on the water (river). We continued to Smithfield where we enjoyed the museums and many shops, boutiques. Ice cream parlor near the museum had great ice cream.

Overall, Williamsburg was a beautiful city to visit. Definitely coming back! Trash and liter always takes away from the overall appearance of a city, community and country. Rarely saw so much trash while visiting overseas. In America 🇺🇸 way too much.

I loved Williamsburg, but then I love history and architecture, art, shopping and good food. I live in Northern Virginia, and the food is pretty dreadful. Everything I ate in Williamsburg was really good--such a nice change.
I enjoyed shopping in Colonial Williamsburg and in New Town. I had a great time, and I'll be back.

The historic city is like our second home.
The historic city is like our second home. We go there at least twice a year. We no longer through the buildings because we've been in each one multiple times, but love walking around the streets. It would be nice for CW to offer a bus pass separate from the admission ticket for a minimal price, just in case you've seen all the buildings but want to get from the visitor center to the town.

A lot of shops were closed at the market place and the restaurants were also closed or short staffed which made a lot of people mad after talking to them as we walked around Williamsburg. They advertised that the stores were open all year

It' a great place to visit to get a real feel for the 18th century. Re-enactors are professional and convincing. It gives life to a distant age. Instead of seeing just buildings, furnishings and museums, you see how folks lived at high and low levels of society. The authenticity makes for a very memorable experience. You can go time after time and see new activities and items. It never gets boring.
Wonderful, characterful room. Very comfortable, very clean. The bed was great. We loved the peaceful forest view from our room. Joanne and Barbara on the front desk could not have been more welcoming or more helpful. They really enhanced our stay. The breakfast was delicious; fresh and very high quality. This gorgeous hotel is located on a winery and set amongst beautiful trees. It’s a gem. Though we were there for work, we still left much more relaxed than when we arrived. Thank you for a memorable stay.
We were able to book the “Queen’s Suite” where Queen Elizabeth stayed when she visited Williamsburg. Exquisitely beautiful and luxurious hotel and suite. The breakfast is an amazing experience in both food, service and decor. We looked forward to turn down service each evening. Perfect location to simply walk to the Colonial area or stroll the manicured grounds. My son was impressed with their bourbon selections.
The facility was beautiful and the room was huge with a sitting room and kitchenette in addition to the bedroom. Would be great for a family! The location was our favorite part. We biked down from the hotel to historic Williamsburg twice during our one night stay and it was very close. Absolutely loved it and will stay here next time we come to Williamsburg.
The Griffin Hotel is the cheaper sister to The Colonial in Williamsburg. It misses the beauty & style of the Colonial but the room(s) were huge. Out of style and a lumpy sofa but it was fine. We were traveling with out teens looking at Uni's - so the Griffin met the brief. We were able to walk over to the Colonial for a cocktail in the evening.
I have a small dog, & so I stayed in a room designated for pets. It was very clean & comfortable, something not quite achieved in some other "pet rooms" where I've stayed. Hotel staff members, including the cleaning people, were friendly & helpful. This hotel is an excellent value for people who want to tour historic Williamsburg.
Embassy Suites in Williamsburg is a great location with a quick drive to the Colonial Williamsburg Visitors Center and within 10-15min walk of several restaurants. The staff here is fantastic: helpful and friendly. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the breakfast is very good. Highly recommend this place.
room was very comfortable and clean. breakfast was adequate and tasty. laundry machines all worked perfectly fine. staff were very friendly and engaging. noise level within the hotel were minimal/nonexistent. all other customers were very well behaved and were polite with one another.
The location is perfect. Close to many excellent restaurants and shops. You can easily drive to Colonial Williamsburg in five minutes. The facilities are clean and the bed was comfortable. The building itself could use an update, especially the bathrooms.
I liked that the rooms are like apartments with space to spread out. The fireplace is our room actual worked and that was cozy for a Jan evening. The pool was large! The hotel is super close to Busch Gardens and the historic village of Williamsburg.
We really liked the suite setup with the kitchen and living room. The customer service was efficient and warm. There was plenty of parking and it was a great location for Colonial Williamsburg and other destinations. You get a lot for the price!
Fabulous had breakfast. Friendly staff that was very accommodating. Spacious room that was clean and modern.
Nice Jacuzzi and pool indoor was a plus.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Williamsburg.
Stunning rooms,
Even better than the photos.
Very comfortable beds and the fold out bed was even comfortable.
Only 15 min to Williamsburg colonial village but would be longer in summer with traffic.
Breakfast was imaginatively presented with a very pleasant atmosphere. Comfortable lounge with newspapers and books. Just a 10 minute walk to the historic center of Williamsburg. Really lovely stay.
The room was clean and the staff very friendly. There was plenty of parking. It was easy to get to Colonial Williamsburg from the hotel, and it was located close to a good variety of restaurants.
Room was dirty not vacuumed, door was broken, TV didn't work switched rooms then left to another hotel the next morning as we arrived late and was to tired to pack up and leave again.
Everyone was very nice and helpful. The room was nice and the hotel is close to everything in Williamsburg. I would definitely stay again and recommend this place.
The hotel was very close to Colonial Williamsburg so convenient to going between the two in just a few minutes. It was not far from chain restaurants and stores.
