The breakfast was middle of the road comfort food. Fresh and warm. The toaster blew a fuse however. It couldn't be fixed because nobody had a key to the room with the fuse box. POOR organizing.

We actually stayed in Nokomis which is near Venice.
We actually stayed in Nokomis which is near Venice. It is laid back and great for couples or solo travelers. Downtown Venice didn't seem very busy or crowded. We just did a drive by in Venice but it didn't look like much was going on midweek.

Very much a retirement community.
Very much a retirement community. Restaurant choices were very much chain, safe and bland. There were roundabouts that were semi traffic circles, which makes them confusing to people who don't use them.

We liked Venice and surrounding areas and the Best Western was in a great spot. Restaurants in the area were very good. The Red Grouper right across the street was a great local hangout with super food and very nice service.

Venice and Nokomis are my favorite places in Florida. It is nice, cozy, friendly people live there and it would be the best place to live and raise your family.
Venice offers lots or restaurant, beaches and shopping opportunities. You can go fishing, jet skiing or rent a boat at any time, visit gators in Snook Haven or do a canoe tour on the Myakka River.

Venice is a small town just a short drive to metro areas.
Venice is a small town just a short drive to metro areas. Venice is centrally located. Venice has a great dog beach. Venice is very easy to navigate and traffic is not an issue. Traveling with 2 big dogs was not an issue. Easy to find dog-friendly areas.
I love Venice Beach Villas! I will be choosing this location any time I travel to southwest Florida. The rooms are extremely clean, comfortable and cozy. We had everything we needed for cooking in the kitchen, we also used the grill! I would highly recommend this vacation property. I enjoy being so close to the beach, I walked to it daily. I also enjoyed walking to historic downtown Venice, many cute shops and very delicious places to eat!
The room was spacious and clean. There were so many little extras you don't find in big, fancy hotels. The kitchen had a stocked spice rack, coffee, salt and pepper and many unexpected things to make food prep easier. Also, the facility supplied bikes, pool toys, beach wagons, coolers, and all sorts of things for a fun vacation for free! Little things like that make a big difference!
It was such a beautiful and well kept home. There was so much space and the house was clean. Loved that they had some items provided in the kitchen like water and basic condiments, coffee, and creamer. The location was close enough to the beach that we could walk and enjoy the sunset every night. It was close to historic Venice and caspersen beach.
We stayed at the beginning of August in another BW in Richmond and in Richmond we didn't get the same breakfast as here. In Venice, it was a buffet one and it was great.
The rooms were comfortable and we liked the beds. The hotel must put a little bit of attention to the cleaning aspect, especially in the bedrooms.
Very close walk to the beach, good maintend grill and privat place on the backside to the river.
Technical staff check everything arround and ask on a daily base, that everything is fine.
Customer can see that they take care about to bring a good Service for the customers.
Beach was across a very low traffic street— perfect location for beach and just a short walk to historic Venice. The breakfast—- unmatched compared to other smaller hotels! Fresh pastries (best jelly donut ever), coffee, cereal, yogurt, etc.
The hotel (Mainland) was our choice because of late check-in, nightly bridge construction, and limited time to stay. We drove to the beachfront location but there was no office to check in there and working only online was not efficient.
The hotel was close to the beaches which was the main reason for our trip. Also it was in a nice area close to restaurants and some stores. Little long for a walk, but was able to walk to the beach. Driving was only about 5 minutes.
Everything was very clean and organized, Michael and Chuck were such sweathearts and very kind, super easy to get to the beach in about 5mins by car, nice community, everyones friendly, would go back anytime:)
Excellent location for the beach, the Main Street, and nearby parks. Safe, clean, and ample parking. The staff is very friendly, and the rooms were very clean. The hotel has an "Old Florida" charm.
Lovely tropical oasis in the heart of Venice. Close to beach, downtown, restaurants. Clean and comfortable with many amenities! Staff very accommodating.
