The breakfast was middle of the road comfort food. Fresh and warm. The toaster blew a fuse however. It couldn't be fixed because nobody had a key to the room with the fuse box. POOR organizing.

Nice size clean room, comfy bed, a lot of pillows what really appreciated. Quite, close to hwy 75 to get anywhere. And very important for us: hotel gas complimentary coffee, and pretty good one.

The beds were comfortable even though they are not queens like they claim and the pillows were nice. Overall the room was clean and breakfast was better then other hotels.
This Venice hotel is just off 1-75. It serves a buffet-style breakfast every morning and features an outdoor pool and a fitness center. Free Wi-Fi access is also available.
The area is beautiful. We love going down to beach area also the restaurants are amazing. Unfortunately our hotel between the roaches and duct tape for holders to open up cabinets was completely unsatisfying. The beds were very uncomfortable overall that place needs to be redone.

We actually stayed in Nokomis which is near Venice.
We actually stayed in Nokomis which is near Venice. It is laid back and great for couples or solo travelers. Downtown Venice didn't seem very busy or crowded. We just did a drive by in Venice but it didn't look like much was going on midweek.

Very much a retirement community.
Very much a retirement community. Restaurant choices were very much chain, safe and bland. There were roundabouts that were semi traffic circles, which makes them confusing to people who don't use them.

We liked Venice and surrounding areas and the Best Western was in a great spot. Restaurants in the area were very good. The Red Grouper right across the street was a great local hangout with super food and very nice service.

Venice and Nokomis are my favorite places in Florida.
Venice and Nokomis are my favorite places in Florida. It is nice, cozy, friendly people live there and it would be the best place to live and raise your family.
Venice offers lots or restaurant, beaches and shopping opportunities. You can go fishing, jet skiing or rent a boat at any time, visit gators in Snook Haven or do a canoe tour on the Myakka River.
Love Venice. Island Sun Inn and Suites is COCKROACH INFESTED. We had booked a week, we went to office evening we arrived about roaches. A young man was sent to mop, told us that would take care of the problem. There were still roaches crawling around the next morning. I went to office, was assured we would get our money refunded. Liars, cheats. We were only given a partial refund, they charged us $505. for one COCKROACH INFESTED NIGHT. I will contact the Venice Health department about the COCKROACHES.
HORRIBLE FACILITY
This is usually my go-to stay when in Venice. The staff was amazing per usual (Ange, Molly, Jeannie, Jamie, Taylor, Jodi, Debbie, and DJ... looking at you)! I lucked out with my hotel neighbors and had a great time with them on the property... The facilities are so amazing you really don’t have to leave the hotel. When I did go out, though, everything was just minutes away.
I ended up extending my stay, not as long as I wanted to, but as long as I could. I will definitely be back again.
This property was not what I thought I was booking. I believed I was getting a bungalow not a motel room accommodation. I thought we were getting a private patio area as well. So, we were surprised when we first arrived. The room is small but compact and had what we needed. Staff were very nice and helpful. The restaurant called Pop’s Grill was excellent. We really enjoyed the beach and Gulf.
It was such a beautiful and well kept home. There was so much space and the house was clean. Loved that they had some items provided in the kitchen like water and basic condiments, coffee, and creamer. The location was close enough to the beach that we could walk and enjoy the sunset every night. It was close to historic Venice and caspersen beach.
The location was great. Only minutes from everywhere we wanted to go. Breakfast is not included or available. The room had everything you could need to go to the beach, chairs, towels, shark teeth rakes, umbrella. The pool was clean the washer and dryer are a great free convenience. The landscaping was beautiful. The neighborhood was quiet.
They have alot of items available to use while you are there. Bikes, shark teeth shifters, pool towels, washer and dryer (and cheap and you can use their soap). You are 16 miles (30 minutes) from Siesta Key and 8 blocks from Venice Beach. There are many other beaches around also. The pool is heated. Rooms clean and comfortable.
I really enjoyed my stay! Very nice owner, responsive and loyal! I'll definitely come back again! The house has excellent air conditioning, despite the heat outside the house it was very comfortable, and fast Internet and a huge TV helped while away those short evenings that we spent after the beach!
We like older hotels. Motels is clean you could tell they just recently remodeled some of the lamps head duct tape holding in on the bottom but that’s OK. The grounds were cleaned and kept well and the swimming pool look like it was a lot of fun. The bed was comfortable.
Pretty much the only thing we liked was the location: three minute walk to the beach (which was lovely) and about 7 minute walk into the centre of Venice. Oh, and at least the towels were very good quality.
Lovely tropical oasis in the heart of Venice. Close to beach, downtown, restaurants. Clean and comfortable with many amenities! Staff very accommodating.
