We only stayed in Thibodaux because it was well located for our trip exploring the swamp areas south of New Orleans. Also, photographs of the old town looked interesting, although it turned out to be disappointing as nothing was open in the early evening.
THE ROOM AN BATHROOM WAS DIRTY. THE TUB AN SHOWER VALVES WERE BAD COMING OUT OF WALL..THE HOTEL HAD A BAD SMELL. AN THE MEN STAYING THERE KEPT SIDE DOOR UNLOCK SO THEY COULD SIT OUTSIDE AN DRINK ALL NIGHT,THEY LEFT THEIR BEER BOTTLES ON SIDEWALK AN PLAYED THEIR MUSIC LOUD. AN THE GUEST UPSTAIRS WAS VERY NOISE THEY COULD BE HEARD FROM OUR ROOM DOWNSTAIRS. IT WAS NOT A GOOD STAY,LEFT THE NEXT MORNING AN GOT A ROOM AN THE HAMPTON INN. WILL NOT BE RETURNIN THERE. WE HAVE STAYED AT OTHER HOTELS AN THEY WERE OKAY. THIS ONE NEEDS ALOT OF HELP.
Although very reasonably priced (65 $ for a huge room with two king size beds), the Carmel Inn has all the avantages of a luxury hotel.
- free parking
- free breakfast
- swimming pool
- restaurant & bar
- spacious lobby
- five minute walk to historic downtown
The overall arrangement of the facility was old-fashioned, with rooms opening from the outside, but quaint. Our room faced the pool/courtyard, which was attractive. The hotel's location was close to dining, downtown and a nice waterway.
The location of the hotel was perfect. I enjoyed everything about my stay especially how clean the room was and how nice the staff was as well. The check in process was smooth as well. I would definitely stay here again!
Beds were very comfy, larger in room fridge then most hotels, very clean facilities. Breakfast was available and limited selection but did have waffles and sausage! Would definitely stay again!!
We absolutely love this location. Convenient location with wall ability to excellent restaurants and easy drivable access all of Thibodaux. Spacious and relaxing when onsite.
i really like the hotel staff Michelle has taken care of just about all of my reservations and check ins she is outstanding at customer service and will take of you...
