Staff was excellent! Friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and nice. Ocean front balcony was awesome! Tiki bar staff and menu excellent! Breakfast was fabulous! Night auditor, DJ was amazing! Southern hospitality at its finest! Having the beach so close was a big bonus! I loved how the hotel was at the board walk and very close to shops and restaurants! The hotel decor was lovely! I would recommend and come back to this hotel!!! My daughter and I really had a special and wonderful time there.

The desk people I met were both very friendly and helpful - just sincerely nice people. Room was smallish but well organized and very clean, with new looking furniture and fixtures in the sleeping and bath areas. Halls and common areas were clean and smelled good, which can be a challenge in the humid air of the beach. I use stairs, and stairwells were also clean and bright and newly carpeted - that's always a good sign for me. Motel was quiet at night, and had lots of families having a good time. In general, a great little value motel.

The lighthouses of Oak Island and Old Baldy were our favorite spots since my husband makes them. Went to a Mexican restaurant across from the hotel. It was very good. Also went to Chucks Homemade Ice cream. It was delicious! Really enjoyed meeting and talking to him! Getting into the hotel was a challenge since there was always so much traffic on that road.

Southport organises a great 4th July event.
Southport organises a great 4th July event. Free music on the 3rd and 4th, a big parade (loved the little yellow cars) culminating in a big firework display at 9pm over the water. Plus there was an interesting craft fair in Franklin park plus live music at some of the bars and coffee shops.
Southport locals are very friendly and as a UK visitor I was amazed that garden chairs could be left along the parade route the night before.

I’ve been going there awhile but this visit I didn’t enjoy at all and we spent our time in Wilmington most of the time
I won’t stay in Southport again because it’s too much of a drive to places I’d rather go to

Riverport is a small quaint town.
Riverport is a small quaint town. Although it was busy for the town, it was busy for what I am used to. Where we stayed is walking distance to the restaurants so it was nice to park the car and walk everywhere. It is close to Wilmington if you want some city experience.

Southport is a quaint little town where a lot of movies and tv shows were made. There are several great restaurants. If you like seafood, you'll love Southport, NC. We ate at Joseph's Italian Restaurant and Provision Company. Both had delicious food. Getting around is easy. If you would like to see movie locations go on the Fun Tour with the "Rev". It's 45 minutes and very informative. While in Southport, take a ferry to Bald Head Island. No vehicles are allowed. You can rent a golf cart there from Cary Cart Co. and drive around the island. Bring lots of money! If you're looking for a great bed and breakfast in Southport, I highly recommend LaPolena Bed and Breakfast. Beautiful property and a great host.(Ask for Suzy)
The house was quirky and fun. Creaky wooden floors. Plenty of pillows and soft surfaces. Loads of character throughout. There was plenty of space for all five of us. This was a fun house to stay in for a vacation. SUCH a great location if you want to explore Southport.

Hotel pool was most welcome in the heat of the afternoon, before we headed back into town for the fireworks. Good breakfast.
It's wonderful and comfortable place to vacation. The breakfast was great! Clean and good room. Receptionist was great and amazing! Thank you so much all staff and also thank you Hotel Comfort! I recommended it place for everyone!
Really loved the staff, location, and cleanliness of the hotel. The rooms were massive and allowed plenty of space for our family of 4 to enjoy the vacation! Would definitely recommend or stay again!
we had family coming in from out of town. we live in Southport. It was convenient to both us and town. The golf cart was great for enjoying downtown. There is also a playground a block away!
Private and not crowded. Loved being close to downtown Southport. We had an amazing time. Loved walking into the room and being able to smell that it had recently been cleaned.
