The staff is very friendly and helpful, the grounds are beautifully maintained. We really enjoyed using the electric bikes each morning. I appreciated that the valet charged my car each night as well.

Great breakfast, very clean, very very reasonable, good location to town and near Safeway for food etc. not fancy but very clean and the grounds lush with a convenient pool and hot tub open 24 hours.
A clean economical convenient location. Next time I would book a balcony that had the table and chairs for a longer stay. But we were only there for one night so perfect for us in that respect. Not there for a romantic getaway. If that is your desire there are probably other more romantic but more expensive choices. If there with kids or a girls weekend this is the place. But choose a room with tables and chairs on a patio!
Featuring a spa on site, Cottage Inn & Spa is located in Sonoma. Free WiFi access is available. Free wine passes are offered for select Sonoma wineries.

We will return!

I felt it was pretty, but it didn’t really have the choice of restaurants. I felt Napa was definitely the place to stay and they had more restaurants and more places to eat breakfast. Sonoma was a bit small.

Just an hour or so outside San Francisco, Sonoma is a picturesque city set among the vineyards in Northern California. It features a beautiful square with galleries, shops and restaurants. They often feature live music in the square. Great for a long weekend, the vineyards offer tours and tastings. There is also a wonderful cheese shop there. If you enjoy being active, don’t miss the hiking/biking trails in the area.

It is a quiet and over-looked town! MUST SEE! They have a cute downtown Sonoma Plaza, with a Visitor Bureau with free coupons (2 for 1 wine tasting), lots of cute and varied shops and restaurants. There are also a lot of museums and the Sonoma Mission right there. We visited Buena Vista, Gundlach Bundschu, and Jacuzzi wineries--ALL were beautiful! We had a great dining experience at Sonoma Grill and Bar in the back terrace.

Downtown Sonoma is a quaint town with cafes, galleries, a movie theater, and most importantly, two ice cream shops (we chose the Chocolate Cow). We also found a wonderful hike nearby called Sonoma Overlook in the downtown area. About 1.3 miles up for a beautiful view of the city.

The foods we tried were all delicious.
The foods we tried were all delicious. The town square and park were quaint as well as the city itself. I loved the architecture of the homes in the downtown area. The area is very walkable and there were many unique shops.
Nice room in a nice location and was well positioned to explore the town.
We had arrived having stayed at The Coachman's Inn at Carmel and had benefitted from the service and the experience there. In isolation our experience at The Inn at Sonoma was good and it's only that The Coachman's Inn had a better and more interesting breakfast and the 'nibbles' at the afternoon wine tasting were more varied and tasty, and our room there was bigger.
Excellent car parking (some covered), a hot tub and fitness room were available.
the location was in short walking distance to Sonoma Square (5-7min) and yet on the edge of a residential area and Sonoma biking trail so pretty quiet overall. Loved the space as it felt like our own little cottage. We used the provided amenities to make breakfast both mornings, and having the dishwasher was such a nice bonus.
The breakfasts were delicious. The hotel car available to take us to downtown Sonoma was terrific. Watsu and Kitsu (the masseuse) could not have been better. It was a spiritual experience. I was disappointed that I could not get my aqua facial. Need more and better food choices outside by the pool.
Lady on reception was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The hotel had a traditional feel and was quite nicely decorated with pictures relating to the area. Good coffee machine. Lots of parking. Good location for exploring the area. Fairly good value for Sonoma.
Excellent location only about a 1 minute walk to Sonoma Square. Cute rooms and decor. Everything you could need and yummy breakfast left at your door in the morning. We last minute had to bring our 3 year old and they were very accommodating!
It was budget friendly and very close to the Sonoma Plaza. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and sauna. Best part was having a fireplace in the room; it was easy to light up and kept us all warm and cozy. Would definitely stay again.
Best host ever. So helpful & kind. Superb location 2 mins from Sonoma plaza. I will come back just to have a chat with mom & daughter hosts again 💕 Quiet & well equipped tiny home. Thx for a lovely stay.
The location was right on the square and made it very convenient for shopping and dining. Hotel was very nice and staff was great. Tasting room on the first floor. Complimentary on-site parking.
Excellent location, next to Sonoma square, restaurants and shops.
Nice private patio with hot tub surrounded by a small beautiful vineyard.
Upgraded bathroom, kitchenette, and bedding.
Lovely historic building located on the beautiful town square of Sonoma. Perfect location to nearby restaurants, wineries etc. Quaint property which was very comfortable.
