The staff was very friendly, my check in was smooth and pleasant. The bay view from my room was wonderful. I would love to go back when the pool, poolside bar and poolside restaurant is open. The pool and outdoors amenities dosen't open until May 1st.

This is basically a "bare bones" ,motel.......but is clean, comfortable and " easy on the pocketbook" It is close to the ocean and the boardwalk (a little over the bridge drive) and should be okay for families (with close to the boardwalk parking) . This was our second stay there (both times off season) but we would certainly stay there again! These are obviously older units in need of some attention..............but clean and comfy!! Highly recommend if on a budget!! It is also close to affordable food and beverage choices.........a very good locations.
Ocean City Beach and Boardwalk is a 7-minute drive from the Economy Motel Somers Point and offers numerous local shops, eateries, and amusement park rides.

Amazing location, awesome "penthouse" views to the ocean, very spacious accommodations, and friendly and helpful staff! Plenty of pillows and extra blankets. Close to the boardwalk and beach, walking distance to everything downtown. Easy check-in and out. Will return ASAP!

Close to Atlantic City other than that dont waste your money. Don't go by the pics even tho they all show a jacuzzi and you will have a Jacuzzi in your room it doesn't work and if you go the the manager he will say it's not part of the room even tho when you book the room jacuzzi is included.
There isn't much to do in Somers Point. We stay because we like the restaurant in the area but we only go off season because the wait for tables can be very long. Somers Point is just before the bridge going into Ocean City. I would stay in Ocean City if I wanted to use the beach or go to the boardwalk.

I’ve been here before.
I’ve been here before. Short trip to Ocean City for great beach and boardwalk. Also close to our favorite restaurant (Crab Trep) and point dinner but you have such a good breakfast at SONESTA that we didn’t go there.. Love the seclusion and setup so you don’t feel like your in a hotel room ,

We like Somers Point area.
We like Somers Point area. We go to the beautiful beach in Ocean City, NJ so location is very good. Good food choices, diner, and full service restaurants. We have been going to Sonesta and prior to it when it was the Marriott, which in those days was wonderful. This hotel Sonesta has gone downhill over the years. Property is not kept up, service (No service), every time we stay here, I am not happy. The only reason I stay here is the size of the room and the location to the beach. I wish this place would improve.

Somers point just across the causeway from ocean city.
Somers point just across the causeway from ocean city. They have some nice restaurants in the area. It only takes you about 5 minutes to get to ocean city. Like any shore town , traffic can be a little heavy around rush hour in season. It’s a little cheaper than staying in ocean city. If you want to buy alcohol you buy it here . Ocean city is a dry town. A couple supermarkets near by.

The unit was clean and spacious. The staff was polite and helpful throughout our stay. Faith at the front desk even gave us some recommendations for lunch, dinner and other activities that we could experience during our stay.

The pool was pretty. That’s all I can say. The breakfast was “HARD BOILED EGGS!!” The breakfast area was dirty and extremely small. In the bathroom, above the toilet was a mirror covering a window that you could see daylight through on the edges because the caulking was so old and dried out. Strong mildew smell and black spots everywhere in the bathroom. There was no pull out bed, that we were told at booking would be available! no blanket on the bed only bedspread! Walls were dirty! Tv propped up in a corner on a tall old dresser. No way was this place acceptable for the rate! I’ve paid far less to sleep in a cleaner environment. I should file a complaint with the BBB to get some of my money back.
The owner was very nice and accommodating. The location was right next to Caroline's on the Bay so that was convenient for dinner. The hotel is very basic and does not look like much but for the price it was perfect. The room itself was huge and the bed was comfortable. I did not bring my pet but they do accept pets. We stayed two nights and I know on the second night the hotel was at a full or nearly full capacity. I saw a couple of people with dogs but I never heard any barking or noise from other guests.
The hotel is nice, the staff was nice, it is well situated. The room it's self was a good size, had a balcony which was nice and the bathroom was a good size and the shower had a glass door and not a shower curtain which was very nice because I hate those bath/shower combinations with shower curtain that you constantly have to fight while showering. Breakfast was included. There was a limited choice but it was good none-the-less.
Our view of the bay and sunset was beautiful, it was nice to have a balcony as well. The breakfast wasn't impressive at all but the coffee was good and there were things for the road. Location is perfect for Somers Point, Ocean city and getting in and out of town. Also, there is the famous Crab Trap restaurant downstairs. You can walk to the liquor store, Wawa, Diner, Bar or go for a long hike along the causeway.
Very nice clean room as soon as we walkedin it smelled very nice like fresh and clean,very comfortable beds, so far the best motel I stayed at in nj and will choose this place for now on being clean is a must for me and made it easier to choose this place next time and to sleep
The location is nice and fairly accessible. Close to some of the bars in the Somers point area and easily a short walk or drive to food and restaurants. Great location and access to long port or ocean city.
Everything was nice I love that the hotel is set up like apartment building . The room literally looked like mini apartment room . Very clean . Staff was nice .

breakfast was not that good. choices were minimal. Fruit would have been nice, pastry, bagels! bowl of cereal and package of dried up waffles not so much!
