Gentleman working reception on arrival was very friendly and helpful and pointed us in the direction of a great pub! Common areas in the hotel were well kept, the location was exactly what we were looking for, and the bed was outstanding!!

If you want to avoid being right in a metro downtown area but want to be close enough to access anything in the downtown area, strongly recommend you consider Rochester Hills.
The city has plenty of interesting restaurants. We ate at Kruse and Muer and it was delicious!
