The town seemed a bit sleepy, but I came for the Rochelle Railroad Park, and it was worth it! I also found a great running trail from Flannigan Park along the Kyte River so that I could get my run in. Alfano's is a great Italian restaurant that I enjoyed.

We really didn't stay long enough to know a whole lot about Rochelle. We had a fine dinner at Aldo's Pizza, and enjoyed seeing the Union Pacific Big Boy locomotive--along with many other people.
Nothing! The room was musty smelling. The queen room had a double bed. The bed was uncomfortable. The TV had limited stations. Could not watch NBC CBS. Half the lights in the bathroom didn’t work. The hair dryer didn’t work. The bathroom was so small it didn’t even have a towel rack. The room looked nothing like advertised. Very disappointed. Breakfast was the worst I Ever had at a hotel while traveling
The breakfast was good. However. No breakfast on Sunday morning. As employee did not show up. I think the hotel. Could still provide a breakfsst.even without hot meal. Open the fridge to get milk for ceral.a.nd get yogurt. Bread out for toast
Oatmeal packets out. As they did provide hot water .and coffee.
Very clean and comfortable. Good parking. Hotel has a lot of open space around it, and the view from my room was great. Looking west out the back of the building, I could see a wonderful sunset over farm fields and the town off in the distance. It made the most of the Illinois landscape! Also ... cookies!
Property was vey clean. And yes I have a lot of issues with this with other hotels which make me not to even wanna stay a hotel anymore. Very clean and staff very friendly. Highly recommended
