Rio Grande is very convenient to many nearby areas including Cape May and Wildwood but you do have to drive everywhere. Rio Grande is convenient fir shopping and supplies but not as a final destination. I am very familiar with the area so I knew what I was doing. I stayed there because I needed a pet friendly hotel and not many choices in Wildwood or Cape May.

Made a reservation. Paid for the reservation. Showed up and the room I reserved was not available. Don't understand this?? Will not ever go back since I can't count on a reservation and would not recommend to anyone who wishes to make plans.

We arrived there was no pool which I very much expected. The refrigerator in the room didnt work only the freezer. There were bug traps underneath the sink and before we went to sleep I killed a roach on the wall so we left imediately. Was unable to get a full refund.

My stay wasn't bad for the price.
My stay wasn't bad for the price. The room was modern and equipped with a nice desk, mini fridge, TV, internet access, and modern furniture. However it was very small and felt disgusting after finding bugs on the bed immediately after walking inside.

The room was comfortable and sufficient for the night the bathroom was so cute and updated. The shower could use more power and be adjustable, the pool was closed for the season of summer???? That was very dissatisfying. We would have loved to have a night in the pool prior to our day at the beach, but we instead watched TV then went to bed.

The location was perfect if you did not want to spend a lot on a hotel. Short drive to the board walk. The location was conveniently near stores, gas stations, DD...etc. The room is average size, but clean.
The beds were comfortable and the suite was clean. The side bedroom was a little small and had no windows or AC, but the main room was lovely and spacious (and the AC was quiet!). The motel within 10 minutes of all the attractions Cape May has to offer, like its excellent beaches, nature parks, and restaurants. The motel itself doesn't offer food, but the Rio Grande diner offers a great breakfast only 2 minutes away.
Clean but, Bed spread seemed wrinkled, room was tight but hotel still has 2 fulls in the room for 3 adults ( 1 teen) and 1 small kid. 4 people in total. It was for a quick overnight stay for about $100.00. Lots of nearby eating choices. Motel style, so rooms can hear outside customers walk by.Don't expect miracles. Check in ,Sleep, rest , get up and checkout. Not for the tourist.
Accepts pets.
Check in was fast , Room was very clean an smelled clean no bad odor. Was close to Wildwood. Linen was also clean and there was enough for use. Bathroom spotless an very clean. Very polite an friendly when check in & check out.
This motel has been bought by a younger couple in the last few years. They are slowly updating. Rooms were cleaner than I expected and bathroom, although small was updated. Good offshore location.
