Redondo Beach is a nice community.
Redondo Beach is a nice community.
We went to a restaurant near the pier and had a beautiful sunset view. The restaurant, Shrimp Lover, was not fancy and was basically Thai with seafood, had a great beach/pier view. My companion had wanted to go to the restaurant on the pier but we could not park close enough (she walks slowly with a cane due to pain/disability). The parking lot was about 100 feet from Shrimp Lover, with no stairs necessary.
I would explore more next time, but this visit was for family bereavement issues.

We were staying one night to avoid returning home in the dark. Besides sleeping we spent very little time at the property since we were visiting for Thanksgiving. The room was a comfortable size, but somewhat drab. The plumbing worked, the temperature control was easy to use and effective. We were quite satisfied. We were comfortable leaving our car for the afternoon and evening.

This is one of the lesser-known gems of Los Angeles.
This is one of the lesser-known gems of Los Angeles. It's more laid-back than Santa Monica or Venice, and it's more upscale than Long Beach. This hotel was perfectly positioned to take advantage of everything that the area offered. Five minute drive to the beautiful beach. (I wouldn't recommend walking; it's LA after all.)
When you get to the beach, you'll find a cement bike/pedestrian walkway that continues for miles and miles along the shoreline. Take a walk on it or rent a bike! You can, for example, walk or bike a short two miles to the Redondo Beach pier, home of interesting restaurants.
That same drive puts you in the heart of "Hollywood Riviera" village, a collection of shops and restaurants that's well worth exploring.
All in all, this is the part of LA that Angelenos hope you never find.

Redondo Beach is a very special city for me and my family.
Redondo Beach is a very special city for me and my family. My husband lived there for 45 years, he raised all his children and grandchildren, it is one of the most attractive cities, family-oriented, excellent schools, quality of life, tranquility, better landscapes, great walks, food, wine, day and night life, museums , shopping walks, very well maintained by the City. Wide beaches, the unforgettable sunsets of the Pacific, sports people, riding bicycles, enjoying long walks with the family, on skates or skateboards. Totally recommendable, the beach areas have a high level of people, businesses, attractions wherever you look at it.

I love the variety of restaurants and shops in Redondo Beach. There are dozens of choices for patio dining. It’s very walkable and there are plenty of rental bikes and scooters should your feet tire. The farmer’s market is a must see. And the sunsets shouldn’t be missed.
Pool was just right for us - very small and only 4 loungers and a few chairs which meant it was never too busy when we wanted a chilled day. If it got too busy with loud people we just headed off to the beach!
Free breakfast was very convenient and the ladies kept it well stocked and clean. Free parking was great too - we've been charged quite highly to park at hotels in the same area on previous visits.
There's also a small shopping centre with a CVS and takeaway outlets pretty much adjacent which was great.
Check in was easy and the woman in the office was friendly and helpful. The hotel has been they're a while, but it was comfortable and very clean - easy well cared for. The room included a small kitchen, which we didn't use as we were only there one night, but it was nice to know. Overall it was a great value, and if we need to stay in the area again, we'll definitely stay there.
The hotel location was excellent for our visit with friends and relatives in the Southbay. Although on busy Pacific Coast Highway, there was very little traffic noise. The king bed room was clean, the bed was comfortable and included a small second room with a standard double bed. The small bathroom was adequate and contained a stall shower.
Large and clean, hot shower and bath, aircon/heating and a great location. Coffee in the lobby was welcome too. Close to gorgeous Hermosa Beach and to South Bay Galleria - this is a budget hotel that is great value in an area where everything is very expensive
rooms were nice!
breakfast and happy hour were the absolute best. the staff was so friendly and the food was excellent!!
we used the basketball court, the pool and the laundry room! it was a great hotel!
very convenient location on PCH, withing walking distance to pier and shops, recently renovated, I had a quiet room to the backside with seaview windows, very clean
Super Loud. Muscle cars in front of sleeping room. Highway on the other side. Very suffocating experience. Hated this Hotel. Breakfast 1 Star out of 5.
