Checking into our hotel was simple and seamless. The person who checked us in was very polite and patient. A welcome from him eased the anxiety a bit. We were worried the stay at the hotel would not be pleasant since the hotel is on a busy street. We stayed in the back and we did not hear any traffic the entire stay.
Parking was great; however, the lot is small so depending on the amount of guest and the time that someone comes back to the hotel may be an issue. We did not have an issue with parking at all and we arrived back to the hotel at midnight most nights.
Featuring a recreational deck with ocean views, Sonesta Redondo Beach & Marina is only a short drive from Los Angeles International Airport. Guests can enjoy the heated pool or hot tub.

Redondo Beach is a nice community.
Redondo Beach is a nice community.
We went to a restaurant near the pier and had a beautiful sunset view. The restaurant, Shrimp Lover, was not fancy and was basically Thai with seafood, had a great beach/pier view. My companion had wanted to go to the restaurant on the pier but we could not park close enough (she walks slowly with a cane due to pain/disability). The parking lot was about 100 feet from Shrimp Lover, with no stairs necessary.
I would explore more next time, but this visit was for family bereavement issues.

We were staying one night to avoid returning home in the dark. Besides sleeping we spent very little time at the property since we were visiting for Thanksgiving. The room was a comfortable size, but somewhat drab. The plumbing worked, the temperature control was easy to use and effective. We were quite satisfied. We were comfortable leaving our car for the afternoon and evening.

This is one of the lesser-known gems of Los Angeles.
This is one of the lesser-known gems of Los Angeles. It's more laid-back than Santa Monica or Venice, and it's more upscale than Long Beach. This hotel was perfectly positioned to take advantage of everything that the area offered. Five minute drive to the beautiful beach. (I wouldn't recommend walking; it's LA after all.)
When you get to the beach, you'll find a cement bike/pedestrian walkway that continues for miles and miles along the shoreline. Take a walk on it or rent a bike! You can, for example, walk or bike a short two miles to the Redondo Beach pier, home of interesting restaurants.
That same drive puts you in the heart of "Hollywood Riviera" village, a collection of shops and restaurants that's well worth exploring.
All in all, this is the part of LA that Angelenos hope you never find.

Redondo Beach is a very special city for me and my family.
Redondo Beach is a very special city for me and my family. My husband lived there for 45 years, he raised all his children and grandchildren, it is one of the most attractive cities, family-oriented, excellent schools, quality of life, tranquility, better landscapes, great walks, food, wine, day and night life, museums , shopping walks, very well maintained by the City. Wide beaches, the unforgettable sunsets of the Pacific, sports people, riding bicycles, enjoying long walks with the family, on skates or skateboards. Totally recommendable, the beach areas have a high level of people, businesses, attractions wherever you look at it.

I love the variety of restaurants and shops in Redondo Beach. There are dozens of choices for patio dining. It’s very walkable and there are plenty of rental bikes and scooters should your feet tire. The farmer’s market is a must see. And the sunsets shouldn’t be missed.
The hosts were great, the area is so quiet and beautiful, there are many places to go at short distances alongside the beach. It was surprisingly cheaper than the average hotel one would find as well and I am very much considering this place to stay again if the time arrives once more. Definitely give this studio a try if one will be around this area for a vacation, it's a very well done studio and I couldn't recommend it more.
When we first arrived at the hotel we were a bit apprehensive, since the exterior looks like it needs some updating. But we were pleasantly surprised when we opened the door to our room. It was tastefully decorated, spacious, sparkling clean, and the bed was super comfortable. When I noticed that the reading light next to my side of the bed was missing a bulb, the man at the front desk cheerfully located a new one for me.
Customer service-communication was pretty great. Used the app to check-in and message the hotel. Let them know what time we'd get there and if they'd hold our bags till check-in, and they do. Arrived in the morning way before check - in time and our room was already ready and they got us in right away.
Everything is good with this little hotel, it's nice and clean with free parking under the building.
The breakfast is ok and it's a 10 min walk from the pier with all the restaurants and bars a beautiful beach and laundry and stores.
30 min drive to LAX.
Stays here every time i visit L.A.
Newly refurbished rooms on 3rd floor, ocean side are great. We were slip tenants on B Dock for 8 years, and have stayed at the Hotel many times. The new room updates are a major plus, and we look forward to staying there again. We also like the late afternoon music in the lounge.
I really liked how the hotel is neatly organized and I was happy with the cleanliness of the hotel overall and I really like that how breakfast is included too. The pool and the jacuzzi was fun and
and also I really liked how there was a gym room, I
did enjoyed the workout 😉
Wonderful view of the ocean and the seals in the harbor. The Baleen restaurant was excellent for breakfast and dinner, and very accommodating for allergies. The hotel connects to a nice trail along the beach, and we were able to rent eBikes to ride on that trail.
Hi my name is viviane and i stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with my husband .. it was amazing they are super flexible , polite and always ready to do the best for their guests .. for me everything was perfect thank you so much 🙂🙂🙂
Good location with nearby food places, free and decent parking in motel‘s patio, very clean and large room, quiet, fridge with freezer, friendly and helpful staff, nice outer appearance of the whole hotel…
I travel to this hotel for years. Since it has changed the owner 'Hilton blablabla collection', the service is getting worse every year. Basically, they got rid of everything I loved in this hotel...
All facilities in hotel, room was was really good, all clean.
Really good breakfast!
Seemed there was a nice pool, only sad we could not use it due to cold weather.
Super Loud. Muscle cars in front of sleeping room. Highway on the other side. Very suffocating experience. Hated this Hotel. Breakfast 1 Star out of 5.
