Could have been more choices at breakfast, everything else was good also did not ask for early check in but the staff graciously helped me check in early
It was a most interesting historic town. It was of personal interest since a young education student is a waitress at our golf club. She mentioned that her boyfriend was on a full hockey scholarship at Clarkson. The Clarkson university campus is extremely beautiful . The young waitress is a remote student and is an exchange with a Canadian university. She said the program is outstanding and she will have her degree in less than a year.

I've visited Potsdam many times over the last 10 years and...
I've visited Potsdam many times over the last 10 years and have always found something new to do! There are good food options, lots of outdoor activities and the town is located close enough to Canada, the Adirondacks and Lake Champlain to allow for wonderful day trips.

Wonderful town with polite and lovely people. They greet you on the street, invite you to local events and the Sunday service. Breakfast at the Bagel Bros., lunch at Maxfield’s or Jake’s on the Water is a must. The Clarkson Inn is a wonderful hotel to stay. For reliable taxi service call Zero Taxi.

I can't really give a fair review of Potsdam itself. My daughter is a senior in college here and we have been coming here for years. It is a nice college town. There are some great places to eat, like Thai Cuisine is a nice family run Thai restaurant that is take out or eat in. park Brothers bagels and Coffee is not to be missed. Great bagels and coffee. Mama Lucia is a great Italian restaurant that serves great food too.

Friendly and efficient check in. Room was clean, cozy and had an excellent view of the river. We were very happy with the accommodations and would highly recommend for any and all travelers. Please note there is no elevator to the second floor so if you have a hard time navigating stairs, it may be best to request a room on the ground floor.
Property was super clean and had a great vibe.

It's the best vocation I have ever had with my own family. That is to Clarkson Inn. Super quiet and spacious room, and the view is breathtaking. Staff , cleaning team We thoughly enjoy every bit of our visit in Potsdam. The guests are friendly and mindful, we definitely will choose to stay in Clarkson Inn again in the future for our family vacation.
The breakfast was included and was excellent. There was a very comfortable large area of the lobby. Our room was very large with a sofa bed and extra TV adjoining the main part of the bedroom. it was the same price as a regular king room.
Very friendly staff! Hotel right on the river. We stayed two nights on our trip. One night was on the river side and was a great room with a table and sitting area looking out at the river. Very pleasant. Fun local vintage pictures.
The location was perfectly located within the town. The staff at the hotel, especially at the front desk, were very helpful and kind. Everything was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay.
Hotel is situated in beautiful place- by the river and in the center of town with short walk to multiple restaurants in the area. Coffee maker in a room is appreciated. Breakfast setting is nice.

A nice, comfortable roadside inn. It seems the owners are the staff, and they truly care about their business, and the comfort of their guests. It was clean and well maintained.
GREAT stay for the rate. Walls a bit thin, noisy in morning, but quiet area at night. Very clean room and bathroom. Very friendly owners. Very accommodating.
