Wonderful staff and a super clean, economical place to stay. Very close to shopping for food if needed, and close to town.
Very clean comfortable room. Spacious. Room.. workout room had updated machines and weights. They provided shampoo not just samples (attached to wall in holders ). Larger fridge in the room with microwave. Breakfast was adequate. I have dietary restrictions I did not tell them about and did not tell them so I had limited choices but if you like eggs bacon and cereal toast and juice you are all set. Close to Potsdam.
I stayed two nights at the hotel. The beds were very high, had to use a chair in order to get in but once I was in bed the mattress was very comfortable. I slept better at the hotel then I do at home. The restaurant was easy to access and the breakfast was very good. All the employees were very nice and personable.
The location is great. A new hotel opened in 2019, clean and shinny. The breakfast was basic. Rooms were great, clean and bright. Another plus point is that they have a charging port for EV, which I used. So you are ready to go in the morning. The pool and gym were good too, the kids used both.
The pool and hot tub facilities are very nice. The terrace leading out to the golf course from the pool area make it feel like a little retreat. We did not have breakfast or try the restaurant. The restaurant did look nice, though.
The Best Western University Inn is just a hop, skip, and a jump away from SLU, which is great if you're visiting the university. Our family loved the pool - it's quite large - as well as the hot tub. Staff are lovely.
The rooms were and bathrooms were very spacious and clean. The complementary breakfast had many choices, and the food was great. Pretty common areas. Price was affordable.
