Very easy drive to Newport attractions . Portsmouth is a sleepy town on the north end of the island. Tip if driving in from the west, take the southern route and the Pell bridge. Traffic through Providence was horrible.
The remodel of the motel is great! It is quaint and cozy and clean. The price and location were great b/c we could not find an affordable place to stay in Newport so Founder's Brook in Portsmouth was a great compromise for us. The landscaping is amazingly beautiful!

So Clean, updated, quiet, quaint and close enough to drive to anything you would like to do in Bristol or Newport area! Perfect spot away from all the crowds! Near Bristol bike trail and all the restaurants! Loved this place!
The room was very comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. It’s a 20 minute drive to Newport from the hotel, a better value than hotels in Newport for a last minute getaway.
Location was central to where we wanted to be. Rate was affordable compared to other hotels in the area. Bathroom amenities (toothbrush, etc.) were a great addition.
