Brilliant central location with safe place for our car. Wonderful staff particually Nicole at the front desk. She was professional and she was so kind and like a friend helping us with places to dine and things to visit. The room was HUGE and well set up. I was thrilled that finally a large hotel in USA had sustainabile iniatives such as not plastic water bottles, cups etc packing. There was a note they had glass bottles for us to use to fill with water and aice machine on every level which we used and the water tasted good.

Nice small city. More than you would expect for its size.
Nice small city. More than you would expect for its size. Lots to take in within walking distance. They need to enforce parking rules better. We got caught in a lane full of illegally parked cars!

Many little touristy shops, many were overpriced.
Many little touristy shops, many were overpriced. My husband has a little trouble walking, and the brick sidewalks, although quaint we’re a bit difficult to navigate. A few homeless hanging near the garage. The boats and water were beautiful. We highly recommend the odyssey whale watch. A great experience , saw whales and sharks and the boat staff was good. Bring a seat cushion with you and dress warmly. Went to demolish for dinner. Again, the wait staff was excellent, but was disappointed that I couldn’t order lobster tails. Whole lobster or lobster pieces in butter. The atmosphere was nice

Portland is a walkable city.
Portland is a walkable city. Too many wonderful restaurants for one trip!
My favorites from this trip: Fore Street Restaurant, Honey Paw, and Jing Yan. My husband loved Bar Futo and the bar at Via Vecchia.
Its really all about the location in Portland! The hotel rooms themselves felt a little old, but they were clean and the lobby was really nice. I very much believe that anywhere you stay is going to be similar pricing and you have to pay for valet anywhere on the waterfront, but you might find a more modern hotel for the $400 a night rate if you do a little searching. But really - it was fine for what it is and we were not there to hang out in the hotel anyway.
This was our second stay at the Hyatt. The staff was very courteous and professional, especially the parking valets. I was quite impressed with the patience and professionalism of the desk clerk in dealing with a very difficult guest. We like the layout of the hotel and the location in downtown Portland is excellent. The EV charger for our vehicle was a real plus and one of the key reasons we chose the Hyatt for our stay.
Location was ideal and right next to the pedestrian zone of the Old Port. The patio in the back courtyard had a great vibe. The little concierge area w snacks, fruit and coffee on each floor was nice. Lastly, we had an issue as I left my Airpods at the hotel. The management of the hotel responded well and were able to retrieve and send back to me. I appreciated that accountability.
Easy parking. The front desk staff were lovely, making a room available even though I had arrived a little early. Big room with very comfortable bed. Excellent WiFi. The toiletries in the bathroom were in wall-mounted, refillable containers. The downtown and waterfront districts were within walking distance. Good value for money.
Always a great place to stay. Decently priced, not a far drive into Portland or to South Portland, and love the restaurant/bar that's right in the hotel - the food is always delicious and the staff are great! Also love that it's pet friendly and they have patio rooms on the first floor that make having a pet there so convienent!
Very stylish. Fantastic all day cafe with excellent coffee and food and lots of comfy seating downstairs, and a classy rooftop bar with a view at the top. Perfect location, with all of Portland in walking distance. Definitely one of the best hotels in the city at the best location.
The restaurant inside, the Volcano, was amazing. Great food, prices and people! It was a blast spending the evening at the bar, eating such amazing food. Ask for the Souvlaki!
The hotel was also big, which meant it has alot of character and unique things.
Brilliant hostel in the middle of Portland. Great vibe and decor in the hostel and comfortable room. Bathroom was completely spotless and seemed recently refurbished. Free coffee in the morning. Friendly staff. Within walking distance of Old Port.
The location is PERFECT for the Old Port area of Portland. Close to food, shops, water. The staff was always friendly and available for questions. The rooms were huge with a great view, and everything was extremely clean and updated.
Just about everything, the staff was friendly and super helpful. I especially liked your shuttle service that made attending my son‘s graduation very convenient and getting to restaurants and places around downtown Portland.
Very friendly and welcoming. Lovely room. Great amenities. On-site restaurant outstanding. Easy on-site parking. Great base for exploring. Old Port 15minutes walk. Cape Elizabeth lighthouse 10 minutes drive.
Definitely within walking distance to downtown Portland for us.
Rooms clean and loved the Dove soap/nod wash and shampoo and conditioner. Staff was very friendly.
