Nice area even though we arrived on a cloudy and rainy day and left early the next day. Would love to come back someday and see the area in the sunshine.

Wow-what a gem of a place we found to stay. Our family of 4 had a 2bd/1bth/kitchen/patio cottage. We were able to cook meals/relax in the hot tub after a hike to Point Lobos. We were able to grab a snack at the front lobby at any time of the day. The lobby had a good variety of dvd's to choose from. Carrie and Orion/pomerianian were very helpful.
The location was close to all of our ventures-aquarium, McWay falls, 17 mile drive, Fernwood, Big Sur, etc. Lola enjoyed the patio area and the grass area, where she was able to run and play with the dog toys avail. Asilomar beach was just steps away from the cottage. It was nice to read a book on the patio and listen to the birds chatting. It was a bonus to see a deer along the path near our cottage. Enjoyable trip.

Fantastic location in the forest near the ocean, large comfortable rooms, friendly staff
Pacific Grove is a delightful town to visit.
It has a lot of charm, inviting restaurants, shops, bakeries and parks to visit nearby. Its also only a few steps from the Ocean and Lovers Point.
I highly recommend spending time there.

Pacific Grove is much more laid back than Monterey but it's hard to tell the boundary. Most of the lodgings are one or two story max and are great for families or groups. It's a great location if you want to ride/drive on 17-Mile Drive and head down to Carmel or go up to Cannery Row and Fisherman's Wharf and even beyond up to Ford Ord Dunes. There are so many wonderful places to eat ranging from quick food to gracious dining.

Pacific Grove is a much nicer and quieter place to stay than Monterey. Plenty of restaurants and easy walk to beach. Particularly like La Mia Cucina Italian and Beach House. Nice walk along the coast to see seals resting.

We loved Pacific Grove.
We loved Pacific Grove. The downtown is charming, the two restaurants we ate in were very good, Toasties and the Monarch Pub and Restaurant. The rocky coast is gorgeous with walking trails along it that go for miles.
It was very easy to get around.

Awesome ocean views (especially at sunset!), great natural history museum, delicious seafood. Lovely, walkable town (love the info on the old houses saying when they were built, and who the original owner was.) Kayaking, snorkeling, bicycling, golf, butterfly viewing all easily accessible and enjoyable almost year round.
Car is recommended, although to be fair I've never tried the public transportation system.

I love all the different types of shops the downtown has to offer. There are also excellent restaurants & little spots for coffee or tea. I love that it's near the seaside & some forest areas to explore. Downtown Monterey is just a very few minutes away. It's all a very relaxing part of the world.
What I liked? Well, lovely interior design in schabby chic style, beautiful house, welcoming atmosphere. Angela was so kind waiting for us,and giving us advices about where to eat, event though we came late.
It's so unusual for USA hotel standards to eat home-made breakfast. Here you can be sure - there is an information about what will be served the next day (with a picture!). What's more, personel was super friendly and helpful. Thank You for making our stay so pleasant. Ps.Pacific Grove is incredibly beautiful and charming!
The location, the grounds, the natural raw beauty and the coziness. Felt safe. No one bothered us. Friendly attitudes among other visitors. Pet friendly.
Seagulls early morn wake up and the song of the ocean all night.
Fireplace. Little Kitchenette was helpful.
Easy walk to the most beautiful stunning coastline of Pacific Grove.
Quiet. Serene. Close enough to Carmel and Monterey.
Downtown Pacific Grove.... was all so amazing!!
Thank you for a beautiful, most memorable week! We will sea you again⚓
We stay in pacific grove at least 2 times a month. we've stayed in many hotels. I was really taken back at how large the king suite was. It was like a one bedroom apartment. I really loved the suite it had a nice fire place, the bath had jets in it like a hot tub. A nice little kitchen, lots of windows. It was very quite. I told my husband I want to stay there again for sure!! Thank you for being so kind when I returned the room keys. Hope to see you again soon!! Kim Passailaigue
Crispy clean, very well-maintained old-fashioned hotel in a quiet eucalyptus grove, with charming stairs, spacious and airy rooms, deer walking around, it is an island of calmness of a century back in time. Cross the road and get your dinner, the Sunset beach is 20 minutes walk, ( we are slow), Pacific Grove with it's coffee and restaurants is in walking distance too, overall is five stars, we wish to stay there again if we visit Monterey someday.
Room had all the facilities that upper-middle-class hotels have and too many fancier ones lack: free parking, included breakfast, microwave, refrigerator, coffee, table and TWO chairs (some places provide only one, even when the room has two beds, which implies two people). Very nice! Pacific Grove is a lovely, relaxed place, too, easier to deal with than Monterey.
The location, decor and breakfast! Right by the beach.... You can get a prime view of sunrise (not sunset). Free street parking and the grounds are so inviting. It's easily the prettiest sight as you drive along the Pacific Grove. Breakfast was great....best coffee ever. Victorian decor is so beautiful and the room is clean and well set up. I loved it!
This was the best hotel we stayed in our 10 days in California. The most confortable bed and linen I ever slept in. Worst every penny: magical garden, great views, great staff. It has a lot of rules around and remind me of begging at my grandmother house (in a good way). Fresh flowers in living room decorated with style. A truely special place
Nice location close to Lighthouse and Asilimar Beach. We have stayed here numerous times and love the cottage themed exterior. This is the first time we have stayed in the cottages section. I liked having a sofa and fireplace.
Pacific Grove is one of our favorite places to visit rain or shine.
Our kitchenette suite at the Sea Breeze was a great little home away from home during our vacation. The suite was super clean and we liked the convenient parking in front. The location in beautiful Pacific Grove was great - quiet and a short walking distance to the Alisomar trail and golf course.
Nice little hotel very near to the ocean and the sunset execept it is foggy. Small cabins with possibility to sit in the garden. And in the morning nice and simple breakfast/Self service. I love that place more than Monterey. When ever I come back to that region I will book it again.
Great location, lots of good restaurants within 5 mins walk. Hotel rooms were lovely, comfy bed, coffee and tea always available. Breakfast excellent and extra touch of cheese and wine early evening was fantastic. Thoroughly recommend, much better than a soulless motel!
The location was central to Pacific Grove. It was very nostalgic to be staying in a Victorian home. I liked that you included information about the history of the residence. It was walkable to Lighthouse Ave shopping.
It had a kitchen, is pet friendly, and is a great location between pacific groves attractions and Monterey. The unit we stayed in was ground level and we didn’t hear a single neighbor at all the whole time we were there.
The property the front of the hotel was old they are remodeling but it’s very very nice our room was very very clean big and nice I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends thank you for the wonderful stay😀
The desk staff was excellent, very friendly, helpful, efficient.
We liked being in Pacific Grove, easy access to Pebble Beach—we were there for the Concours d’Elegance.
And it was clean.
location was the best part. hotel is very dated. mattress wasnt thr best but lots of fluffy pillows helped. Good Continental breakfast but no water? We would for sure stay here again!
Loved this hotel. Exceptionally clean .
Breakfast was good, homemade granola and yogurt.
No hot food.
Nice touch of a complimentary glass of wine in the evening
Amazing location, a couple of steps from the beach
Very friendly staff
A super dog-friendly hotel
Wine reception every evening
Good coffee in the morning
