All staffs, they were so kind and know how to treat customers. The property was so clean and the staff were cleaning the property every hour which was very impressive. The breakfast was ok and it would be great if they add more menu options!

This was my first stop in Owensboro.
This was my first stop in Owensboro. I was so impressed with the riverfront area. It's beautiful and the grands really enjoyed Smothers Park and the Science and History Museum. Lots of options for food and shopping and no major traffic to fight. I would enjoy a trip back with just the hubby! A great weekend getaway spot.

I was eaten by bedbugs and I think it was intentional because my room was changed without request and I was told it was an “upgrade”. I wouldn’t recommend Owensboro because the person that helped us (my husband and myself) was friendly but deceitful. I didn’t appreciate her “southern charm”, it was not genuine.

We were primary there for Romp Fest which was awesome!
We were primary there for Romp Fest which was awesome! The Bluegrass Hall of Fame is not to be missed. We also discovered many pleasant surprises. The riverfront boardwalk is an experience all in itself. There was live music "Friday after 5", Live music on Saturdays from 7-9 pm. Smothers park & playground will delight the little guys for hours. Enjoyed a quiet moment on a porch swing watching the sunset on the Ohio River. Visited 3 great restaurant's. Feta's pizza, Moonlite BBQ, and had a great breakfast at Dee's diner. Cooled down with a cocktail at Brasher's Pub (also a great place for music). Owensboro has done a great job. Every place we visited was walkable, clean, safe, and staffed with some of the finest people you will ever meet. We will be back!

I grew up in Owensboro and enjoyed my time there, for a high school reunion. The city has grown up in a good way, is still changing and going through some of the pains of change (lots of empty buildings), but most neighborhoods look good, and the schools look great.

Great Family Friendly town!!!
Great Family Friendly town!!! Very, very, very clean highways and town!! No litter. Very friendly locals!! ALWAYS FELT SAFE!!!! Unlike other big cities!! Very Patriotic and LOVED Moonlight Barbeque Inn. Great town to take your family and feel safe and secure!!
It was a very clean room and the staff was exceptionally friendly and supportive. I really can’t say enough about how wonderful the staff was. They were engaging and thoughtful and seemed to want to make their guests as comfortable as possible. The king bed was very comfortable and the linens were soft. Breakfast had a good amount of choices from hot items to cold items. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Owensboro.
I always like the staff, real pros. My rooms in the past on the upper floors were always perfect. The elderly lady at the front (forgot her name) is a poster lady for the best customer service. She makes you feel like you are the only person in the hotel. If I see her again, I am going to get her a sunshine bouquet of flowers. She kept the rating from being a 1.
Location good, thank God, as not much to eat at hotel. The complimentary "breakfast: was a paper bag and a bottle of water. "Restaurant (?) not open on weekends. If the ammenties are not available on weekends...why should the $150/night price be maintained? No newspaper on Sunday? Why not. I would expect one at $150 per night!!!!
For the money and the value of this hotel (star- rating) everything was great. The staff was welcoming and also very good at accommodating my questions and needs. I definitely will stay here again when I am in the region. A plus for this location is that there are a lot of restaurants and retail in the area.
We showed up at the hotel and it was closed due to renovation so we didn't get to stay at the hotel for memorial weekend. Now try to find a hotel on memorial weekend with two rooms and four beds. Not happy at all
This is a terrific place to stay, modern, clean, great facilities and friendly and helpful staff… We will definitely look for Wingfield hotels during the remainder of our road trip….
We loved everything about the service and employees at The Hotel and Restaurant. Our Room was fantastic and We absolutely loved Our View of The River and Fireworks on 4th of July.
Front desk staff was very nice checking in and out. Easy access to the elevator. The room was older but remodeled. Better than a motel, but the little sis of $$ hotels.
Staff is first-rate and accommodating. Loved the rooms (clean and quite comfortable) and the general accommodations. Hotel was clean and well-provisioned.
The service was great, breakfast was good. View from the room was unavoidable - looked out onto the parking lot - but that's just how the hotel was built.
