Location was great for our days out in the park, and Oakhurst was great for evening meals and shopping for lunches. The property was peaceful. Breakfast was good albeit small choice but plenty of it. Staff were great, couldn’t do any more for you. Would definitely return if visiting Yosemite again

Located along the winding Highway 41 and 2.8 miles from downtown Oakhurst, this hillside hotel features free Wi-Fi and an outdoor pool. The entrance into Sierra National Forest is 12.5 miles away.
We booked this accidentally. We thought we were paying the price advertised on Booking.com, but there was a cleaning fee which was not obvious on the site which doubled the price. I tried to cancel when I realized, but the owner would not let us without paying a very large cleaning fee.
Worst part was that the AC did not work. We couldn’t get the house below about 82 the whole time we were there which made sleeping rough for us.
There were also some cleanliness issues:
Coffee grounds is coffee maker
Used bars of soap left behind
No remote for living room TV (no way to use)
Sticky fridge handle
Hair in shower
Bath mat was wet when we arrived
Couch in back room really stunk
Bugs in ice
We tried to contact the owner about the missing remote and AC but did not get a response.
On the second day we returned from Yosemite to find a water leak in the water heater. The owner did respond to this revelation and came out to fix this, but we were without water for several hours and were unable to do laundry we had planned of doing.

Coolest western town with health food store and regular groceries. . Two rivers abs a ranger station. Pizza Mexican food. Bar and grill. Yoga class. Cafe coffee shops. Souvenirs. And mono India museum. 5 mi to bass lake. Easy to get things post office. In and out everywhere quickly.
