Napa downtown is small, so walking around you can see everything in one day. The area surrounding Napa is beautiful, but you do need a car to get around. There are lovely shops but frankly everything is very expensive! We are from Europe and the prices really surprised us. Products like for example local wines are extremely expensive, something that is completely unnecessary (okay wines but not extreme, no import-/export costs etc.).
Recommendations for restaurants Napa centre: Le Paris (breakfast/lunch), Angele (nice but expensive), Wilfred's Lounge (cocktails).
If you want to go for a more upscale lunch/dinner location, go to Auberge du Soleil, further down the valley.

Biked from Vallejo to Yountville to Napa.
Biked from Vallejo to Yountville to Napa. It's always so much fun and beautiful. The deep jacuzzi tub at Napa Valley Hotel was icing on the cake. The bed swallowed me up and was so comfortable. Ad Hoc is my favorite Thomas Keller restaurant. Get their cookbook. I can actually cook these recipes.

The Napa Valley is just beautiful place to be.
The Napa Valley is just beautiful place to be. It is best to visit during the week as the traffic can be very bad during the weekend. Also, avoid Napa during the harvest. To get around the valley use the Silverado Trail Road and not the main road. If you want to visit wineries, be sure to have reservations. We ate at Mustards Grill. As always, the food was excellent, but you must have reservations as the Grill is very popular. It is very noisy. Best time to have lunch is after 1:30.

We have been wine tasting to Napa for more than 20 years.
We have been wine tasting to Napa for more than 20 years. This trip was a disappointment because you now have to reserve in advance for wine tasting at a winery and they charge enormous price per person, the cheapest was $40 and it went to $85 per person. We understand that all the tastings are now seated since the after-pandemic and this has some plus and minuses. First it is too expensive to go wine tasting in Napa and second it takes a lot more time for a tasting than if you'd stand up at the bar. We might never go back to Napa. It is so sad but the scenery is as beautiful as it has always been.
Everything was excellent. The hotel itself is beautiful and very boutique - only 11 or so rooms - and are of a high standard. the location is great, peaceful and with wonderful views over the river but just a short distance from both downtown Napa and the wineries on Silverado trail. We really enjoyed the wine evenings, the free drinks and the excellent breakfasts. The staff were attentive, personable and friendly - thank you Robert, Latrice, Gio and Ben. If/when we return to Napa, we’d book Milliken Creek in a heartbeat.
Great location. A few things are walking distance like a grocery store, some chain restaurants and Starbucks. A little farther walk will get you to a movie theater and some non chain restaurants. Nothing fancy, but nice to have some close by options. The rooms are a nice size, clean and neat. The towels are thick and fluffy. Nice size pool and good location. The hotel is easy to find and only a mile to downtown Napa, oxbow market and everything that area has to offer.
I stay here often to attend medical appointments in Napa. It is a safe and beautiful property for myself and my daughter. Any special requests are always honored. The breakfast is very good and the rooms are clean, comfortable, and nicely set up with a sofa and desk area separate from the bed. Perfect if I have to do Zoom calls for work. I hope the pool and spa will be up and running soon. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Napa.
This is probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The house itself is magnificent, the attention to detail and the interiors are divine. The bed was dreamy and the wine was flowing. The hosts are incredible, super inviting, warm and fun! You can play the piano, guitar, sit around the kitchen island as if you’re visiting an old friend. A true home away from home, thanks so much for the hospitality! Will definitely stay here again when I come back.
The Property was very nice. Pool was great and very beautiful. Staff was nice but probably could have used more customer service training for a hotel at the price point. The shuttle to downtown was easy and convenient. The rooms were nice and lots of options for food and activities on property. Our best experience with staff was at the Crush lounge and our shuttle driver to town.
This quaint guesthouse is the perfect base for exploring Napa Valley. The rooms are rustic with modern amenities including AC. The staff are very accommodating. Extras included freshly baked treats, tea/coffee selection and snack hamper available in the lobby. Location wise, this guesthouse is located a few minutes' walk from Napa’s main street with lots of restaurants and shops.
We had the most wonderful stay - gorgeous unique house, comfortable rooms and a great home cooked breakfast every morning sat with other guests who we enjoyed getting to know. We felt so at home here and would definitely recommend! The hostess is clearly very hard working and devoted to the details and it shows. Easily one of the best B&Bs we’ve ever stayed at.
Stayed in the hotel during the Thanksgiving weekend. This is one of the best places I've been to. Starting with valet service, check in desk, concierge, service ending with room cleanliness, restaurants and ambience. If you are going to Napa and want to relax and enjoy this place will provide everything you need. Highly recommended.
We stayed for one night only and the hotel served its purpose. It is located outside of Napa centre, but with good access to highways. We liked the breakfast which as for american standards was ok, but of course nothing even close to any other part of the world. Our room was clean and rather spacious, lot of parking space.
This might be my favorite hotel! Loved R Inn Napa! Extremely modern room with an adjustable bed, toilet with a bidet, wooden floors, electronically locked doors, pantries of food, great breakfast, and much more.
Walking distance to downtown Napa as well! A+++++
Great location in Napa—easy to walk anywhere downtown or drive north through the valley. Breakfasts were exceptional, whether served on the outdoor patio or in the dining room. Room itself was spacious, private, and comfortable.
Convenient location for walking to downtown Napa. Very friendly and accommodating property manager. Excellent value and unique charm compared to other hotels in the area. Loved the outdoor spaces. Would definitely stay again.
Location was in the center of Napa city center. Easy access to restaurants, retail and bars in the area.
Hotel featured a roof top bar (very popular), water deck with nice cabanas and Charlie Palmer restaurant.
One of the best hotels I have stayed at on my entire 6 week US trip. So well laid out and appointed and has many gorgeous areas to sit around inside or outside. Very friendly and helpful staff as well.
We had the king room with vineyard view which was absolutely gorgeous. Spotless clean, comfy bed, nice bathroom.
Location is also nice, just north of Napa.
