Burger Republic and 615 are a must try! There are green spaces, shopping centers that are unique, cuisine that is local and original, and the ambiance really allows to slow down and be present. Try an escape room or bowling for added pizazz on this trip.

Growing college town with a lot of unique eateries.
Growing college town with a lot of unique eateries. Area around hotel is busy but safe. Traffic can be an issue at peak times but typical for a growing suburban area. Overall, Murfreesboro is a fun town to spend a weekend or use as a base camp for a Nashville excursion.
I recommend Toot’s (wing spot with a good atmosphere) and Demos’ (local legend Italian/steak restaurant that NEVER misses).
The Discovery Center was a great visit for my 6 YO. Very affordable and tons of interactive exhibits.

It is a pretty small town.
It is a pretty small town. Everything is very centrally located by the highway, consisting of plenty of mid-range hotels, a few gas stations, and your typical stores: Walmart, gas stations, Ross, Marshalls, Sams Club, etc. There is nothing that I found particularly fun or appealing. However, if you are traveling from Murfreesboro to Nashville, there is a bus that will take you straight to downtown or Central Station in Nashville (which you can take the 18 straight to the Nashville Airport for $2.) The buses are purple and cost $1 to go from Murfreesboro to Nashville. You can find the schedule and bus stops here: https://www.wegotransit.com/ride/maps-schedules/bus/84-murfreesboro/

Enjoyed Stoneriver Battleground Museum And grounds ,great history lesson for the area . Grandchildren loved the canons in the grounds and the video in the museum .
along with all the battle artifacts and photos .
BBQ places and fast food available at almost every turn !
Many choices for whatever your whims .
Need to be aware of the traffic congestion possibilities & construction when planning a trip so close to Nashville .
Would plan a different direction to take next trip .

As for the city of Murfreesboro,, it's always a pleasure to visit the city I grew up in.
What I do not recommend is staying at Clarion Inn. Simply put, do not waste your time or money staying there. VERY BAD.

Very new and upcoming.
Very new and upcoming. Lots of lovely restaurants along with the usual chain restaurants. I highly recommend Sal's Pizza! Excellent Italian and Sivilian entrees, pizza and appetizers. Plenty of shopping and places to stay.
THIS IS A REAL HOTEL and HAS REAL PHOTOS . everything here was great , i m still in the room and i can sah this is my favorite so far and i stay all summer in hotes cause we travel all America . the bed was divine and so comfy and the front desk so polite i mean for the price is fair, I stayed in other places with the same amount and was horrible, LIKE THAT SHOULD LOOL A HOTEL !!!!!
EVERYTHING about this hotel SUCKS! The smell from entering the hallway and the room was horrendous! There was a VERY musty, moldy, putrid smell! Even the bed sheets were damp. The carpet in the hall was stained and filthy, in the room was worse! Your feet stuck, very sticky and damp!
