Location was easy access and set up. Selection and quality of food was appropriate for an Inn. We liked it. Food temp of hot and cold good. Staff availability to replenish food, drink and cleanup was excellent.

Despite the road construction it was easily navigated and I had access to everything I wanted to see. Lots of hiking opportunities, historic and cultural sites and good restaurants within a few miles. Love the location on the Mississippi River.
We were just looking for a bed for the night en route to Chicago but chanced upon this little gem. At the end of an unremarkable street in Marquette, Randy has built a little paradise. Exquisitely decorated rustic rooms with BBQ pit. Beautiful fishpond. Host of bird life. And a deer and her fawn grazed peaceably just 50 yards from our window. And strong WiFi. Visit fascinating Prairie du Chien just 5 minutes across the Mississipi and into Wisconsin. Take a gentle hike around Effigy Mounds National Park.
Although it was not disturbing to us, I think the guests should know that the hotel is near the train tracks. The hotel provides ear plugs, which I found awesome, although we did not use them. For breakfast, I liked the option of cream cheese and boiled eggs (as opposed to those fake eggs served everywhere else). Beds and pillows were very comfy and cozy. The room was super clean squeaky clean (this is what we always look for).
EVERYTHING ELSE !! The coy pond is awesome, they greet you as you walk by, the owners respect your privacy well. Great location, sits away from the busy town, but can still hear the trains throughout the night as you sit on the porch of my room. This was a perfect place to relax after hiking the area's parks, and easily close to anything in Marquette, McGregor, or Prarie Du Chien.
The hotel was very nice - clean and comfortable. We appreciated having laundry facilities available too. Breakfast was satisfactory. It was very nice to walk across the street and up to the lookout to see the Mississippi River. Beautiful location. It was also a perfect location to visit some of the local sites. We enjoyed driving along the Scenic River Byway.
Everything! Peaceful and quiet location, until overnight storms moved in. Fish pond with waterfall , fire 🔥 area for evening enjoyment. Hot Tub area. Conviently located near Casino Queen, Effigy Mounds Hiking, Pikes Peak State Park, and other hiking just across rivet on Illinois side of river.
The r was very nice with a small kitchenette and there was also an outside deck that seated 2 people. Perfect getaway for couples. it was close to the Marquette and Mc Gregor, Iowa area and just across the bridge from Prairie de Chen.
The hotel was fabulous! The room was a nice size and very clean....the entire hotel was clean.
They have a walkway leading up the bluff to a covered area that looks out over the Mississippi River that you can sit and relax at.
The location was great for our purpose of observing the spring migration of birds at Pikes Peak St Park, Wyalusing St Park, and Prairie du Chien. The room was very clean and comfortable.
