Property was nice, clean and the location relative to the park cannot be beat. That said we stayed in a Sunday and a lot was not open in the way of food. The advertising of closed by noon is understandable but add that to what was closed and it felt odd and not welcoming to be staying there, more of a “if you must stay here tonight then so be it” type of vibe. The room was cheaper for the time of year but still 200 dollars to not feel welcome doesn’t leave the best taste in your mouth. We just bought our gold passes and were trying it out so we know for next year,and maybe it’s because we go to Disney World a couple of times a year but we are used to feeling more welcomed and not as though we are at a hotel shutting down operations the next day.

The staff went out of their way to not only make sure we had everything we needed. They also helped find places to explore. Every year for my birthday I take my mom and nieces out for an adventure somewhere new. The staff was very helpful with local shops, destination ideas and helped me carry items to my room. We will definitely be returning when we are up in that area!

Just some more attention to detail. The pool should be drained and the tiles power washed. The repairs to the ductwork or something of that nature should be completed asap or covered up/coned off in the pool area. We travelled for the pool and hot tub so it just caught my attention. Glad you have both just would dig in on the details.

Enjoyed staying directly on Lake Michigan in a small community (Ernie is in a nursing home according to the ladies at the coffee shop, sorry I was eavesdropping). The tour of the lighthouse was interesting as well as the beautiful location away for the normal tourist traps.

Nice view of Lake Erie. Motel is just down from Marblehead Lighthouse. We ate at Freighters Lounge. Food was AWESOME! Also visited the Rocky Point Winery. Both are near Lake Pointe Motel where we stayed. Not far at all from where you can pick up ferry lines to head to Put-in-Bay, Kelly and Middle Bass Islands. So many nice looking places to stop, but we just didn't have time.

We loved everything! Couldn't say anything bad about it. Jacuzzi for 2 in the room 3 heated pools. 2 adults 1 kids. Pool by the lake white whirlpool. The walk way out by the lake Peir with 2 gazebo's good fishing! LL IN ALL VERY CLEAN

Marblehead is great!!! Lighthouse is a need to see!!!! Families are aplenty - so very quaint!!! We go every year. We ate at the Hidden Beach bar - was my grandson's 14th birthday - staff excellent - had a great time!!!! Yes, getting around Marblehead is great!! Can take the ferry to Kelley's Island out of Marblehead - Kelley's is lovely! Rent a golf cart!!!! Nothing to avoid!!!!! Thank you Booking for making my reservations for Surf Motel so easy!!!! I will continue to use you!!!!!

Marblehead has a quaintness about it. People are friendly and the views of Kelly's Island and Cedar Point are wonderful. Had a nice dinner at a Japanese Steakhouse named Nagoya. Got up and had coffee on the beach overlooking Lake Erie which gives the impression of the ocean. Clean air nice breezes and plenty of things to do in the area. Port Clinton, Catawba Island, Put in Bay, an African Safari, Cedar Point with more roller coaster than anyone could want.
Very beautiful property right on the lake. Extremely family friendly, large playground for kids, 3 pools including a kiddie pool. Complementary breakfast. Looks like you can rent jet skis on the lake and there’s a small beach right next to the dock. It’s a quiet community and I loved everything about it. There is also a jacuzzi in the room that has jets and a balcony, + 2 separate sink areas. I loveeeeeeeed.
Lake point motel was absolutely amazing! The owners were literally the best! They made sure we had everything we needed and even offered a later check out! You are right next to the water! The fire pit area is relaxing with fire wood to use! The rooms were excellent! We had a blast and will definitely be coming to lake point in the future! The best motel experience I have ever had!
I liked the water front, swimming pools, bond fire, and staff . I thought it was a place to stay maybe just update a few things. The beds, bedspreads, decor and jets in bath tub. I would consider coming back and maybe getting one of the small cottages instead of hotel room. For the most part it met my expectations after seeing the photos on line.
Location! Close to many Lake Erie activities. Beautiful Lake view outside your door! Outstanding, super friendly property management. Clean, comfortable, low-key atmosphere, welcoming, and pet friendly. 3rd summer visit, plan to make it an annual summer destination!!!
Although the fish cleaning station needed some attention it was usable at least one hose of 2 was and the freezer to put your fish fits in was right there too! There was a pool and a nice common area where you could do a meal if you wanted.
We enjoyed having our own little area - living room, kitchen, bathroom and two rooms. Our friends enjoyed that they did not have to share a bed. It was a peaceful area. The pool was very clean and we enjoyed it.
Love the location - walking distance to downtown Marblehead & the lake is right across from the Surr. The staff is so helpful & friendly. I stay here two - three times a year.
