M Malibu came to our rescue after the original hotel we had booked with in Malibu turned out to have cancelled our booking and we only found out on arrival that evening. Malibu was the final night on our road trip to the US and so we desperately looked for somewhere else to stay else we were gonna be sleeping in the car. Not only did Malibu M have a room, but Diamond (who checked us in) was amazingly wonderful, empathised totally with our experience and also found us an upgraded room - and all super quick so that we had time to nip to the beach for a quick dip in the water as well.

Lots of good little touches in the room and available food and extras eg they were very happy to do some washing for a good price. Unlimited free water and lovely games available in reception. Great pool area. Comfortable bed for us and bunks for the kids. Big room. Perfect

The State Parks were beautiful. Topanga Canyon Road was closed and could not see this area.
Traffic was horrendous at time; in addition to the busy traffic, there were working on several segments of the road, and had very long one-lane car lines…

We had a terrific stay at the Surfrider! We loved everything about it. Staff was awesome. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Very beachy vibes, which we loved! The rooftop deck has great drinks and the food is off the charts. We will definitely be returning soon!

Great location; amazing sea views. If you love the sound of the surf this is the perfect place. The bed was really comfy too. Kitchen had everything you needed. I would've preferred a regular sized coffee pot, but we made what they had work.

Malibu is incredible. It’s a one of a kind city. It’s expensive to stay in Malibu but worth it if you can find the right accommodations.
And make sure you eat at Malibu seafood. It has the best fish and chips and crab salad!!!

Lots of beaches to explore and lots of different hiking areas to explore. Cost to eat out is exorbitant. Spruzzos had good food, moderately priced, varied selection and outdoor dining with beach views.

Much more quiet and chilled than expected. Beautiful place and some great restaurants to eat in. We loved the Paradise restaurant ( traditional American style and huge portions) and Nobu! People in general were really really friendly.
It was a beautiful location it was perfect for our family and we enjoyed how close it was to the beach. Our daughter played all day and had the luxury of just running upstairs for a nap and bathroom breaks it was beautiful and we will be returning asap!
The property is well maintained on the nice hills 10 min away from Malibu beaches and beach clubs. Staff is always very kind and keen to help. We stayed in the Estate Room 1 and found it perfect for us. Full marks!
