Viking Arms Inn - Ludington, hotel in Ludington

Just 1 mile from the sandy beaches of Lake Michigan, this Ludington motel features a complimentary continental breakfast each morning during the high season.

This is a old style "Motor Lodge" that I believe is now under new ownership and management. The location is good, the rooms are refreshed and the bed was comfortable. At this time of year it is hard to appreciate the outdoor space and pool , but it is evident the owners have been keeping things neat and tidy. I would absolutely recommend this place as a good value for its price range.

Never been to Ludington before but it’s a really cute town with great shops and restaurants, the beach is pristine, and everything is relatively close to the beach. Just beautiful fall colors! If you have not been to Ludington, it’s a lot less crowded than Saugatuck and less expensive.

Given the date of my excursion, I had notice from S.S.Badger they had suffered damage to their docking facility--thus could not cruise. For THEIR part, the "cruise line" was outstanding in their effort to cancel. Amazingly easy. As I write this, they should be resuming service. I travelled on the "Hwy. 10" (the car ferry) before, when it was operating in transport of rail cars and our auto. A trip rich in history. And, the people of the city have always been welcoming when we stopped at various establishments there. Being a segment of a U.S. highway, it is quite easy to travel through the city. There ARE a couple of hotels that I would not frequent again there; but only the two.

Love everthing about Ludington. The beach, downtown shops, House of Flavors, restaurtants and watching the Badger come in. It is close to Pentwater which has a go-cart park and not too far from Michigan Adventure too.

Ludington is one of our favorite places to visit. The beach is so clean and plenty of things to do around there. We love to hike in the state park, which is very safe and clean. Absolutely love the Jamesport Brewing for lunch and supper. The walk to the lighthouse is beautiful and relaxing. Plenty of shops, sand dunes and fun. We love it!

Love the restaurants especially House of Flavors and Kilwins for ice cream and shops in Ludington! The Museums are informative and fun to explore. The beach is sandy and large. Parking is close to everything. Beautiful park to watch the Badger, safe play grounds for kids to play and amazing scene to watch the sunset.

Beautiful bed & breakfast! I absolutely loved the room decor and atmosphere. It was very inviting and cozy and the perfect end to an amazing day. Also enjoyed the common areas as well as the breakfast the next morning. I had to leave somewhat early to catch the 9am sailing of the Michigan Carferry, however the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and even packed me some food to go! I’ll definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone finding themselves in need of a bed & breakfast in Ludington!

The staff was super friendly and the grounds/pool/area was well manicured. The room we were in was ground floor and had a walk out area with chairs and a grill and was close to a firepit area! We walked down the road to the city park and enjoyed a beautiful sunset on Lake Michigan! We only had to drive about 2 miles to Jamesport Brewing for dinner so the hotel is very close to everything. The next morning we hopped on the SS Badger and left for Wisconsin!

Jenna and Chris made our stay a perfect experience in this wonderful and historic mansion. Their love to make even the tiniest detail to be just right gave us a precious memory for our time in Ludington: We really enjoyed our time with fun facts about the Cartiers and were delightfully pampered with excellent food, snacks and a delicious cake! Thank you - Katrin and Marcus

Rooms were clean. Mini fridge was nice even had a top freezer compartment. Pillows on bed were perfect, weren't the oversized ones like other chains have that hurt your neck. Hotel location was perfect(close to stores like Walmart, Rite Aid restaurants, etc..). Shower was nice.. had great water pressure.

The hotel is centrally located between town, the beach and the highway. The room was nice and spacious, but I wish they would have a comfortable chair to sit in. We had plenty of everything we needed for a nice 6 day getaway.

Hotel was an older historic hotel in Ludington. Nice architectural features you would expect in a 120 year old building. Looks like was a great place for the rich and famous back then. Very clean and staff excellent.
