Lorenzo and Juan (frontdesk) greeted my husband and I, and they were AMAZING! Super super friendly, kind and proffessional, we arrived a bit early and they had zero problem allowing a slightly earlier checkin (I probably looked extremely rough and in need of a shower 😁), they took their time explaining where the hot spots were, and I felt the sincerity of their attention. They made out stay most enjoyable.
Wifi = Super fast and stable
Room = Impeccable
Mattress = Firm (my husband has a tender back, and the bed was perfect)
Noise Level = Room is well insulated, slept like a baby
Shower = Warer pressure and heat, 10's
Thank you, Lorenzo and Juan, you guys are awesome.

Canopy by Hilton, Jersey City is by far one of the best hotels I have stayed in a long time. Stayed for longer duration than most travelers ie 9 nights. On work/leisure Solo
Some key highlights of superb advantages:
1- PATH Station is just less than 5 mins walk
2- Sprove Market for food, Buffet meals on week days at reasonable prices with plenty of healthy options, greens is just at the same PATH station
3- Whole Foods large outlet is 10 mins walk
4- I booked with Breakfast option...has good choice of breads, eggs, oatmeal and add ins and fruits. May not be a big spread of choices, but what is available is excellent and healthy.
5- Canopy has a good Gym 24 hrs, with 2-3 Ellipticals and 3-4 treadmills and Weights
6- Canopy has a nice fire place sitting area near the restaurant/dining for those wanting to spend leisure time reading or meeting friends etc. Though I travelled solo, found many families with small kids, very family friendly hotel!
7- Manhattan by PATH to 33rd Street takes only 20-25 mins. so very convenient
- Rooms are large and spacious and modern design for baths, wardrobe etc for longer stay
8- Grove Street 5-6 mins walk has lot of Indian restaurant food options like Bricklane Curry, Amiya further bit other than Sprove Market and Whole Foods. In addition Mexican and other cuisine restaurants around
9- Very safe area around to walk mornings or evenings
10- Staff is excellent and courteous with good service, Check In was smooth
11- Room Service is done every day unless one can request not be done. That is unusual and surprisingly pleasant for American hotels where most are based on demand or request, not a given
12- Rooms have Coffee maker/tea bags, milk which is refreshed daily by room service.
Overall an excellent hotel with great experience and wonderful service and staff

Jersey City - I would stay in Newport, Jersey City again.
Jersey City - I would stay in Newport, Jersey City again. I've stayed NYC but would only stay in Jersey City in the future. Jersey City is clean, modern and reflects the calmer side of life rather than getting caught up in the noise of NYC. Great transport links to NYC by PATH, ferry and bus.
The shopping mall had some great restaurants and eateries offering rustic bread sandwiches, salad bowls and ramen bowls.
There's an Indian grocery store on 10th Street offering THE VERY BEST Indian food I've ever tasted. It's a must do while you're in Newport.

We decided to stay in jersey city after a day in New York as it was very quick travel and got us closer to Liberty State Park for the next day. To find a hotel with free parking and access to our car was key. Not having to drag your suitcase down the streets from your payed parking spot was a nice luxury to have. Jersey city is only 6 miles from midtown Manhattan and 6 miles from Liberty state park. After the statue of liberty, Jersey city has a KPot which is a must try or go if you've been before! AYCE!!!!

If you want to visit Manhattan every day the PATH (basically a metro, going to Jersey) is the way to go if you will use public transport.
BUT! If you are a foreigner check first how the foreign credit/debit cards work (or better to say how they are not) with the ticket wending machines.... they are funny things and usually do not accept cash.

We actually visited NYC for most of our stay, but it was a nice convenient option to balance the cost of staying right in the city, and easy access into the city. The people in the area (beyond just the hotel staff) were nice, friendly, and helpful. Enjoyed the stay!

For me as a visitor from Europe Jersey City is the perfect place to stay when visiting NYC. On one hand you have this marvelous view of downtown Manhattan - on the other hand you have a lot of shopping options at the nearby mall within Jersey City. Taking a boat trip to Manhattan and back is wonderful. Jersey City is a lot less stressful than Manhattan as a place to stay overnight. I love it here.

It was a great cheaper alternative to staying in NYC.
It was a great cheaper alternative to staying in NYC. We were going to a concert at the Brooklyn Steel pier so with traffic it was about 40 minutes to get there on a Saturday night, but we hung out in Brooklyn for a while before the show. In the morning, we went to Liberty State Park and saw the Statue of Liberty and a 911 memorial (you can take the ferry from this park to the Statue of Liberty) The bathrooms at this park were very well kept and the whole park was big and beautiful. On the way back home we stopped at Wonder Bagels which was crowded but worth the wait. Lots of shops around and it looks like a lot is being done to enhance the area.
The hotel is new, clean and well decorated. It is a really nice place to stay. It is quiet and the bed is very comfortable. We loved breakfast. It is just 15 minutes from WTC and about 30 from the Empire state building by train. The PATH train is 1 minute walk from the hotel.
There was a problem with the heating and customer service was awesome. They brought us a heater and invited us to complementary breakfast during our stay. We loved every part of it.
The location was great and the view of Manhattan was amazing. The walkway around the waterfront and the shopping and restaurants nearby were unbeatable. Having the Path train right next door was icing on the cake. The lobby, bar and food choices were super convenient and all you would need. The room and facilities were spotless and modern. Great place to stay while visiting Manhattan or Jersey City. Would highly recommend it.
It was a great stay with my family. We like how they clean our room everyday even we did not ask for it. It was so good to be back in a clean hotel after a long day of walking around new york. It was close also to a bus stop so we have no problem going back to hotel without a car. It was also nice that Dunkin Donuts was just around the corner. Vending machines was available too.
The Hotel is in a beautiful area of Jersey City, right next to the train linking you to Wall street and Manhattan within few minutes. The views of the south of Manhattan are spectacular and you are also minutes away from a big park with great views of Ellis Island and the statue of Liberty. The rooms and bathrooms were very spacious. Breakfast is good but extremely busy.
The hotel was great, very good amenities. The rooms were comfortable and warm. The room was kitted out with all necessary amenities and the elevator was quick and the staff were very kind and friendly. We used the luggage storage facility and it was superb. The free shuttle back to the airport was extremely handy and we were very thankful.
The hotel is close to the PATH station (~10 minute walk) and 1 stop from New York. There are some restaurants close by and a Bank of America ATM.
The rooms were decent, but we were out visiting most of the time so we used them to sleep and shower. There was also a fridge, a cooking stove and some plates, glasses and cutlery available.
in my life saw this place only worst. Smell very bad , rooms equipment terrible. Bed is terrible. When I open blanket all hair on bed sheet. I don’t know who is checks this hotel and giving permit to be a hotel. Health department should check this place.
We really liked the rooms, and breakfast was so delicious and convenient. My kids loved everything. Easy to commute NY and Jersey city. From lobby to entrance of elevator everywhere there was fantastic fragrance, that's what i loved most of.
Amazing hotel , everything were so perfect , view , jacuzzi , amazing room , amazing bed , quiet , clean , nice , safe , nice area , beautiful sunset with Manhattan view , employees were so polite , my best best hotel in NY
We got more than we expected, nice little hotel, breakfast is great, staff is kind and helpful, it is around 10 minutes walk to the Newport PATH train station which takes you to World Trade Center NYC.
The hotel was well placed close to transport into NYC. Breakfast was okay if a little one sided towards sweet products rather than savoury. Staff were pleasant enough but didn't invite conversation.
