We were in Jackson for two short days on the way to and from a conference some 70 miles away at Paris Landing State Park. I wanted to do some historic research at Lane College, an historic Black college founded in the 1880s in Jackson. Hardly anybody could give me directions I could follow. A map of the city and a staff with knowledge of important sites in the city would be helpful. We did not have time to visit other attractions. We ate only at Cracker Barrel which is nearby and is a chain restaurant that we are familiar with. Finding our way around the city was not easy and traffic tended to be heavy.

Will never stay at this property again.
Will never stay at this property again. Booked 2 months ahead and requested a handicapped accessible room with roll in shower for my disabled daughter. Requested was verified when booked. Show up to the hotel and when we got there was obnoxiously told “oh I see you booked this specific room but we already gave it out because we didn’t know you needed it”
You didn’t know yet you see it right there on your computer reading it to me! The guy was rude and smart mouthed during the whole process. We could have dealt with the mistake he made but his attitude was so bad. We travel out there 4 times a year going to PA, so there and back is 8 times a year we use this hotel. Never again. There are too many other options to be treated like that!

Casey Jones is a must ! Easy to find !
Casey Jones is a must ! Easy to find ! They have a buffet fit for a king.... meat's, vegetables, desserts, bread, soup, ect. Make sure and save room for ice cream at the parlor or just grab a sandwich at the deli. When your done walk off that lunch at the museum. Take a look at a actual train career do a little shopping at their individual shops (lots to look at.)

Jackson was a top over for the onward trip.
Jackson was a top over for the onward trip. We went to Lynchburg first Jack Daniel’s brewery which is well worth the trip, then down to Fort Smith.
There are plenty of places to eat and a shopping centre in Jackson.
I will not be going there again.

This is close to my hometown Brownsville when I travel I prefer Holiday Inn because I know I'll have a safe clean comfortable stay.
Jackson is a nice city you can sight see and shopping is close by. The city is easy to navigate and no traffic jams I love it and of course friendly people The staff at the hotel were great very accommodating we arrived late but no problems.
The lady in the restuarant Marjorie I believe is here name and the other servers were great when I asked for special order of eggs they had no problem and were very nice also housekeeping nice young man we left something behind he brought it to us just as we were about to leave

It states on the website that they have a pool.
It states on the website that they have a pool. However, the pool is not open. The room was clean but very small. Only one person could move around at a time as that was all the space allowed. The TV in room 110 is about to go out. The pillows were awful. I always travel with my own but my husband complained all night.. The key card was very hard to get to work. You had to shake it and hold it just so. Person at checkin was very friendly.
The room was adequate, but a little small for comfort. The pool was under construction and the breakfast was ok. Not exactly what I would call a "hot breakfast" as it was advertised. Overall, the staff was nice and accommodating and the location was perfect for everything we had to do. I would return for another stay.
The room was very clean. The bed was ver comfortable and you provide great pillows to sleep on, not just little flat pillows like some hotels. I appreciated that you provided breakfast as part of your service. Will definitely stay that the Jackson hotel again.
We loved the new and spacious hotel! Everything was clean and beyond expectations! The staff were friendly and very helpful! We called for extra towels, and they were brought immediately. Breakfast was great! One of the best hotels we have stayed at!
This was a stay over on our way to Memphis. It had a comfortable room with two beds. Not exceptional but looked well run and clean. Fresh breakfast in the morning.. although I would have liked more fresh fruit.
the hotel is in disaray. rooms horrible condition. sheets falling apart and thin. really needs to be closed and updated. very disappointing to stay at a clarion. will not do it again i believe
We were given a room by a bunch of homeless people and trash everywhere and the place was filthy and no place to sit. My whole complained and the front desk man told her to leave.
Breakfast was great! Hot food and good coffee. Some of best hotel Orange Juice that I’ve had.
Front Desk lady was very nice and cheerful at check-in and again at breakfast.
The staff were very nice however the bartenders need help on how to make drinks they didn’t seem to know a double CC and water … they were going to serve water on the side?
This is a run-down old Motel 6. Calling it the "Jackson Convention Center Hotel" is total miss-representation. It is the trashiest hotel in town. Stay away.
