Everything in the lodge was very clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and easy to sleep in. The kitchen even had coffee! And the proprietor, Gail, is the kindest and most accommodative person. We enjoyed our stay, and will visit again!
Overlooking Grand Lake, this motel offers a lower terrace with tables and umbrellas, and the upper balcony has chairs outside the guest room.

The location is the strongest point - we LOVED walking to the beach and also being able to walk to all of the good restaurants. Parking can be a hassle in Grand Lake and it was nice not to worry about it. It is also a view you can’t beat - absolutely gorgeous!!!

We certainly enjoyed the Creekside atmosphere most with the river right behind the unit that we could see in here all evening and all day. How relaxing. With only a 3 to 5 minute walk to town lake, it made it easy to not have to drive and look for parking places. There were a wide variety of coffee shops, and restaurants to choose from while in town. we are also right down the road from several trailhead one that we walked to as well. We recommend us for a relaxing stay.

Grand Lake is a small town.
Grand Lake is a small town. Main street is about 6-7 blocks long. Filled with stores, restaurants and fun things to do. In the summertime, they have bingo in the main square outside. It's a blast, and great for families. On Saturdays they have a pancake breakfast. Can't get much better. If you're lucky you'll spot moose....sometime in town. OMG. Plus it sits at the entry of Rocky Mountain Park. Nature beyond compare.....just Wow.

Grand Lake is one of those locations that is a natural lake, not manmade. It has the raised wooden boardwalks in the original areas of the town. It is a perfect place to stay for a week, if you have the time. As a teenager, I fell in love with it -- riding bicycles, playing mini-golf, taking boat rides, hiking to the fire lookout tower or Adams Falls. In the summer there is a stable for rides.
Like everywhere else, it is being loved to death and gets crowded in the summer. There is a yacht club with regattas and a 4th of July fireworks. The town theater has movies, plays, and musical events. AND, Rocky Mountain National Park's west entrance is just 5 minutes away.

Scenic lake with a cute mountain resort town attached. Lots of outdoor activities available close at hand. All ages should be able to find adventure. Came in early September..great weather and not too crowded. Great Homemade Ice Cream place, Miyauchi's, across from the lake.

Location a bit out of town - about 15 minutes.
Location a bit out of town - about 15 minutes. At first wasn't sure we would like it but was a comfortable, quiet house overlooking a small river. Very peaceful. Enjoyed kayaking, golf, dinners in town and a night at the repertory theater, which is always fun. We went into RMNP and hiked to Adams Falls as well. Only drawback is the coffeemaker did not work and we had to go into town each morning just to get coffee. Having never used Vacasa, they don't have the owner close or even near as AirBnB hosts are. So, they don't respond very quickly to requests such as this...was never resolved while we were there.
All in all a nice getaway for a girls trip.

We love Grand Lake!
We love Grand Lake! We make it a point to travel here at least once a year (June - October) in some capacity. The town is so cute and fun, and the surrounding area (lakes, mountains, and RMNP) are just gorgeous! We love the local hiking trails, and it's a great area to bring our dog along. Monarch Lake and Lake Granby are some of our favorites for bringing our pup. RMNP is a must do if you've never been. Dogs are welcome in the park, but only permitted outside your vehicle in campgrounds/ day use, and parking lots. Dogs are not allowed on trails. However there are many pup friendly trails in the Grand Lake / Granby area.
There are many different things to do and see in GL if you are all in for a mountain getaway. Bars, shops, restaurants, cafes, a number of places to satisfy a sweet tooth. Hiking trails, campgrounds, boat rentals, mini golf, lots of lakes. The town closes down a bit early at night (6 - 8 pm for many places) so keep that in mind. There are a couple places that stay open past 8 pm, one being the BBQ restaurant. It's a bit pricey, but they have good food and it's easy to get takeout there if you desire. Grand Lake is not a resort town that stays open late into the night (ala Breckenridge). But it is so beautiful and charming, and it's one of our most loved places to revisit. Great for family style vacay, romantic retreat, or a solo trip to refresh. One of our fav places in the warm months is the ice cream stand down by the Marina. So good!!
Whenever we visit we prefer to stay for at least two nights, but even a one night stay, or just a day trip is definitely still worth it! Holidays do get busy in town, but all in all it's an experience worth having.
A beautiful home with gorgeous view.. We loved Grand Lake! We had a moose pair right across the river to enjoy each day that we watched while drinking coffee each morning. We also loved hearing the sound of the river as we went about our activities throughout the day. The home is spacious, adequate, and quite comfortable. We thought the location was close to town, the Rocky Mountain Park check in, great hiking (Allen Falls), horse back riding (Snow Mountain), and the lake, of course.
Ashley at the front desk was very professional, helpful and honest. We had a major issue and she immediately offered a couple of suggestions. She said she would look into any other options available and call us back - which she did. During our stay she continued to check and see if everything was alright.
The main, and probably only reason, that people stay here, is for the view of the lake. You have mostly unobstructed views of Grand Lake.
I made this reservation only because of location by Grand Lake. The view is what I paid for! Boat rentals of all types. Western Riviera is an older building, with no updates, but as I stated, the location makes the difference. The office staff were very friendly and helpful with area info. The second greatest thing to the view was the bakery next door-awesome food!!!!
The location of this property is excellent, in a quiet, peaceful residential area very close to Grand Lake. The house is quite well sized, and well equipped. It was very clean and easy to get the keys etc. Not really much else to say except it made for a really nice family vacation home and I would stay there again for sure.
This has been the absolute best place we have stayed in years. Jimmy was super nice along with a few other staff members I met. Super kind and very helpful. The room was very clean, very cozy, and even the coffee options were great! We intend to stay here again on our next Grand Lake trip.
We loved this house, so comfortable for our family of 5. Attention to detail throughout. Top of the line fixtures, etc. Granddaughters loved the colorful bedroom with the bunkbeds. Perfect location near main street. And Grand Lake itself was great new experience for us
We loved the cozy cabin like room. Very comfortable, bed was the best I have slept on while traveling. I appreciate that there is a bar/restraunt there since the place is located at the entrance of Grand lake, even though travel is a very short trip to downtown.
Beautiful historic lodge in an incredibly beautiful location on the edge of Rocky Mountain NP. Wonderful facilities, amazing views and very comfy and clean cabins. The village of Grand Lake is great too and just a short drive down the road. We will be back!
The hotel should get the Oscar for its decoration. Not sure how to call the style but sure it’s fun. Surprisingly good dinner in the restaurant of the hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice bar for a good night drink on the terrasse.
The proximity to the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park is unbelievably close to the cabin. Old downtown Grand Lake is a very short drive away. Grocery, restaurants, fuel, also very close. 5 minute drive
Close to Rocky Mountain NP! Lots of little shops down the street. We walked down to Grand Lake by the marina and got ice cream. Sat on the bench and watched the boats coming and going. Great quick visit!
Host family is extremely nice and attenttive, room is huge, parking lot too, very close to gate to Rocky Mountain National Park. Shops and restaurants are very close to the hotel.
