Saltwater Inn is set in Bolivar Peninsula, in the Crystal Beach district. The 2-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom and free WiFi. The rooms are fitted with a balcony.
Location was super! Rooms were clean, bathroom sink drain was extremely slow, but the bed was just right! In a town of 200 people this motel serves it purpose..nothing fancy and the food at the grill was excellent.
All in all, a great experience.

this motel was in high island. that is different than gilcrist. two separate places. so this doesn't apply. high island is a small town not much there but that's not why you stay there. you want to go on the beach and access for that is good.

We ate at the Ocean Grill, and were very surprised to find the food was excellent. We will be back to eat there again. I love the beach and my husband prefers the bay, so we had the best of both worlds.
