The renovations made on the suite were phenomenal! The view of the lake was unobstructed and beautifully framed. Randall at the front desk was gracious enough to wait for us beyond the 8:00 closing. Instructions to the suite and all the amenities in the room were explicit. Loved the availability of channels and WIFI. The box of chocolate was nummy. Winter breakfast can be taken from the front desk area and brought back to the unit. Selections had enough variety and were of good quality. Coffee pods were also wonderfully robust and rich-my preference.

The bed was very comfortable. Grounds and room were well maintained. Amenities were wonderful. Had full size coffee machine. We travel a lot and you just don't see that anymore. Also, loved that they provided paper towel in the room. Have never seen that before. The staff was wonderful. Very nice place!

Pretty little town! Very good food but very pricey—-we expected that since it was us tourist area. We lunched at a fish market/restaurant Food was excellent —-didn’t have a drink since they were. all $9.00!

We couldn't have found a more beautiful area to spend our time. The hotel was perfect and had everything we needed. The little porch was a wonderful surprise and very private. It was nice to be able to walk to everything--the park, restaurants, churches, the old cemetery. It was our first visit to Wisconsin and we left knowing we will want to return again. Beautiful country, amazing BIG lake and very friendly people.

The whole Door County area is beautiful - you just have to determine what community you would like to stay near. There are plenty of outdoor activities from hiking the trails of state parks to biking around the towns or just visiting the little shops. There are always people out and about!

Quiet and quick drive to surrounding towns for exceptional food and shops. Weather was not good for water sports but great for browsing. Pool and hot tub were awesome and nice size. Restaurant was not open our first day so missed that opportunity. Will stay again.
Everything!!! The location, views, proximity to everything…truly fantastic. While the rooms themselves were pretty basic hotel rooms, they were clean and perfectly comfortable. The chocolates on the beds, the kuerig coffee maker and pods, it was all truly wonderful. My favorite pet was that each morning, you could see the staff drying off all of the chairs outside, dusting to remove spider webs from, and making sure that every little detail basically perfect. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone!
Charming and very quaint. Had the look and feel of a B&B but without the breakfast. Spacious and beautifully decorated individual private rooms, with a balcony that featured views of the lake, lovely flower boxes, and a table and two chairs. Property situated in the heart of Ephraim, walkable to lake and 3 restaurants and some shops, and drivable to other local towns. Quiet and romantic spot —perfect for couples.
The staff went out of their way when booking to get us on a lower floor for my husband and we appreciated that very much. All the staff from check in to leaving the following morning was very friendly. It rained the first day so we would've loved to have spent another night just to enjoy the hotel and its surroundings more. Loved the continental breakfast. It was just enough to start our day.
We were immediately welcomed by the owners. The grounds were very nice, complete with a fire pit, a hammock and games. You could mingle with other visitors and the owners or enjoy the privacy of your cabin. The cabin was clean and complete with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect. It was a quick walk to the beach and downtown Ephraim. Also very dog friendly!
My sisters and I never made it to the hotel as we were called home on a medical emergency an hour out. I called Somerset right away and then called again later hoping to salvage some of my $298 down payment. Unfortunately after summer writings and phone calls I didn’t hear back. Was hoping for some type of credit for a future trips.
The location of the hotel is prime. It's located immediately across the street from Ephraim Bay. The view is truly stunning. And the hotel is within minutes of the other picturesque villages along the peninsula. There are fine restaurants, wineries, golf courses and state parks nearby.
Good location, bigger than expected, full kitchen, friendly staff. Patio was a nice size and super clean- normally I’m a little squeamish about hotel patios because of bugs and spider webs, but you could tell they actually clean theirs, not a spider web in sight!
The location was great for us. At the very south end of Ephraim, it was easy to get to places, but quiet. The property was clean, with beautiful gardens, the bed was comfortable, and the room was very quiet. A very relaxing atmosphere.
Exceptional location - just steps to Ephraim Beach and shops; great people, comfortable cottage! Enjoyed the outdoor games and fire pit. Tranquil setting. In the heart of DC with Fish Creek to the south and Sister Bay to the north.
We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub area. We were pleased with the location and enjoyed the shore along the lake. The hotel was clean and we liked having a restaurant available as well.
