The building was 3 stories but kind of "split level" so if you needed to carry your luggage up the stairs (there were no elevators) it wasn't quite as far.

The town is quiet and feels old fashioned along with a nice farmers market on Saturday. Central Washington University is a beautiful property!
We met many friendly people in the town and felt safe and welcome!

Ellensburg is a small town comprised of good old people...
Ellensburg is a small town comprised of good old people mostly blue-collar workers honest for the most part I would say 90% of them just a good will rounded community. It's a down to Earth community so you don't have any real high-end anything you don't have a high-end mall or Tesla dealership you're gonna have the mom in pop stores which are great and from what I understand you're going to pretty much know people no matter what store you go into because the community has been raised for decades some even centuries And are very familiar with their neighbors.
There are also a number of European and South American ethnicities in Ellensburg so the food is very good hit some of your smaller restaurants there's plenty to do for kids with the rivers and lakes, kayaking and swimming and be sure to bring along the pets as they are really welcome in the state parks unlike the Econo Lodge.
Just be sure if you do bring your pets that you have leash.
Oh yeah traffic is very minimal even at peak times courteous drivers some of them are a little speedy but if they get behind you they're not all up in your trunk just pull over and they will pass you and you can go on about your site saying because the countryside is beautiful also if you get a chance get out there in the mountains of Ellensburg because they have one of the rarest gems called the Ellensburg blue and it is very obtainable you just gotta put it a little work but it's well worth it they are absolutely brilliant you gotta check them out online Ellensburg blue the second rarest Jim on the planet.

I’m 100% biased. I spent my childhood there.
I’m 100% biased. I spent my childhood there. Love cattle country & the mountains. It’s a college town so there is more opportunity for music, sports , lectures etc. Has lost a couple of great restaurants since Covid but there is still variety. Great getaway

I called the SureStay when it was obvious that I could not make it over the pass. I was charged for my room even though I could not make it over the pass. I am tired of having to buy insurance every time I turn around to make sure that common respect if followed.

I love Ellensburg, WA but not The COMFORT INN_. They did not refund me for not (unable) to stay . They kept the $654. plus, even though I could not come and stay. I asked 5 days in advance for a cancellation and refund but was denied.

Great place to stop and explore.
Great place to stop and explore. Quaint shops, museums and art galleries . Great restaurants, even the truck stop food is good, with awesome coffee. The brewery looks good but I didn't have the chance to check it out this trip.
I've been told the fishing here is great. The vineyards have quality wines and the university is training the vintnures of the future.
The Thorp fruit stand and antiques, just two exits west of Ellensburg, has quite a variety of things. Great coffee stand inside next to the ice cream counter. Two floors of antiques. And quality fruit of course. In short, a nice stopover. Pretty good college sporting events also!

The staff were incredibly nice. The breakfast is one of the best I've had in a hotel - pancakes and warm cinnamon rolls! The room was comfortable and quite. Much more than I expected. One of the better hotels in Ellensburg.
This is a well-designed new hotel. The rooms are large, comfortable and quiet! I took a relaxing hot tub, and a swim, and we enjoyed breakfast. This staff was friendly and welcoming. I plan to stay again in the future.
We have stayed at this hotel several times because of the location and they allow our dog. The staff is always friendly and the rooms are always clean!
